Should Beppe Marotta be sacked? (3 Viewers)

Should Marotta be sacked?

  • Yes - his signings are an embarrassment to the club

  • No - he just got us to the Scudetto and we should see where that takes us

  • WTF - When did we suddenly inherit aching ladyparts like interisti?

such a simple way to look at it!

how about this then, if bendtner scores 20 goals, it's all conte for getting the effort out of him, but wouldn't you say great job conte for signing a 20+ goal scorer for 6 million.

isn't this why the fact that barzagli cost 500k great? or vidal for 9m when he is worth 40m now. or litch for 11m when he is worth 20 now.
Players you mentioned actually shined at one point or another before coming to Juve (Palermo, Leverkusen, Nazio). I dont remember Bendtner shining at anything.

Llorente wanted to leave, so did Jojo and i'm sure plenty of other players are eager to leave.

In Moggi's era, we never needed the money, In Marotta's tenure we are top3 spenders in Europe.

This year was the time to get the " Plasma " and what did we get $#@!ing bendtner.

How can you explain that we spent 18 mil on a player who plays in a position we have the most depth and he didn't upgrade the position we are the weakest in ???
so you wanted us to spend 36 million on a player on his last year of contract? are you serious? llorente is not that good, and good for marotta not paying a penny higher. 30 million for jovetic is more than a fair offer.

you are going crazy because you think we overspent on matri, isla, yet you wanted us to pay insane amounts of money for a good player on last year of contract. pls

This is our squad:

First team:

Buffon

Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini

Isla-Vidal-Pirlo-Marchisio-Asamoah

Giovinco-Vucinic

Second team:

Storari

Caceres-Lucio-Masi

Lichtsteiner-Marrone-Pogba-Giach-De Ceglie

Matri-Quag

Personally I think we have fantastic depth.

I gotta say, though, I'd rather rely on a great midfield that scores goals among them regularly over a lone, prolific striker who defenders can double-team more easily and would cost us a buttload more of cash.
That's definately one way of accepting this situation. Though its not a mutually exclusive scenario.

I'm in a sarcastic mood ever since i entered this thread

Oh thats easy lets see

Is Llorente worth 36 million ? Sorry but his upgrade is not worth 36 mil

Did jovetic really want to leave ? we tried with 20mil+players, whe finally tried with 30 mil, board didnt wanna sell, jojo never said he wanted to go, AND never did efford like Llorente did who asked permission to leave.

About the other, its easy

the entire team is build around the centre of the field, out strongest position, what we became to rely on. When were we bad last year ? when one of MVP was injured, suspended or out of form. We just buffered our strongest point.

and not just that, we did it with versatile players. isla can play rwb, and most midfield positions, asamoah can do midfield, and solved our lwb issue.

seriously, after the last two games i dont wanna hear shit about lwb, he was amazing at it.

Wait, so if Contes manages to get 50 goals out of Bendtner, are you going to say that Marotta saw that too?

Getting Barza for 500k was awesome, but making Barza play like a fucking king was all Conte. Conte made that fee look great, not Marotta.

I'd give all kinda credit to Marotta for a guy like Vidal for example.

Marchisio was nicknamed "casper" and "ghost" and needed to be transferred away

Vidal played well, but absolutely nothing like he did at juve

Pirlo was "marotta buying old dicks" and "finished" and "omg we do we buy milan crap"

please, dont act like it was written all over that it was gonna be a succes

Marotta should definitely be credited for Barzagli.

Conte and Marotta both did a good job. You can't just teach a defender how to defend as well as Barzagli did last year.

Obviously Marotta saw something in him.

Well, if you're not going to bother reading any of the posts then there's just no point in continuing this discussion with you.

We do not have the money to splash on one target. We spent close to 40m on the Udine couple, but their potential resale value is double that and we're talking about TWO PLAYERS. And we even co-owned them to pay the rest of it next year, because we're tight with cash. We're investing in the youth, because we can't compete with wages nor transferfigurres with the top clubs. That's just the reality, and our current management is doing a great job at reaction to it.
That's the problem, we had the money.

I for one would've prefered if we signed Jojo/Llorente/RVP for 30/35 mil than signing Isla for 18 mil+ Gaich for 7.5mil+Leali for 4 and Gabbiadini for 3.5 mil. That's 32 mil between those 4 players.

Of course he should be credited for him, but Conte should get more credit because he actually made him play like 50 million player.

Believe me, Marotta didn't see this. When we signed Barza, he was signed to backup Bonucci and Chiellini.

I disagree. First of all, because you're paying very inflated fees. Second of all, because you're sacrificing depth.

uhhh it's the coaches fukign job to make a player play good, especially when that player plays for juventus.

marotta's job is to sign players according to the needs of the team. sometimes it's bargains, and sometimes is is big money transfers.

edit: explain how conte coudln't make matri, elia, krasic or quag looke good then?

I'm going crazy because Marotta overspent on average players. (Matri, Bonnucci, Isla, Padoin, Giaccherini/Quag...) are all overpaid, overpaing for a great player ( Jojo/RVP) with what 8/10 mil over his fair price is not that big of deal considering the impact they will have on the field and off the field. But no it's ok to overpay for the likes of quag and not ok to overpay for the like of Llorente.

Yeah, but we were talking about who deserves more credit and Conte deserves more credit for Barza playing like a boss and if Bendtner scores 20+ goals.

But we were still undefeated, and Giach played a part in that. You have no idea that we would've played better with worse depth or compromise in other areas. Why can't you just be satisfied with our season and wait before judging?

The job of a coach is to motivate them, show them where they can improve, etc.

You think Barzagli was just a shit defender and Conte transformed him into one of the bests in Europe?
