:D Oh I know. Vinman and I agree on a lot of things.
That's not a bad thing. :) And today, I would have agreed about putting in Boji.

But I can be sure Vinman will say this much, which I definitely agree with: the 4-0 scoreline says nothing about how we struggled in this match. After Trez's great early goal, we were unable to put much of any attack together for the remainder of the first half -- and we required quite a few good saves from Gigi.

Fortuantely, we put it away in the second half and Piacenza were down to 10 men. But this wasn't nearly the kind of lopsided, declarative victory as the scoreline would indicate.

So trezeguet was worth paying loyalty to.....i guess the arguments last week have only one winner. And that is that trez is a class finisher who has become part of juve's history and should stay. Forza Juve, Forza Trez, and Bravo Capitano!!!

it wasn't....but once DP scored the free-kick, I had a pretty good idea we had the 3 points in the bag (although I was having some Arezzo flashbacks)

well after match reports from swag and vinni here is my 2 cents

I saw Piacenza a few times this season and i always admired them as a very good offensive team with some good creative forces in the midfield.

The team was solid and considering we were playing an attacking team i thought we were very good defensively and did well to keep the clean sheet.

Gigi-Had one amazing save, and he almost messed up a dribble against Cacia but even with that i thought he was one of the best on the field :tup:6.5

biri-he had one or two defensive mistakes but they didnt have much impact and was covered well. I liked him going forward, so he did well overall and hoping he keeps it up 6

balza-he didnt contribute that much offensively but he was very solid defensively and thats more important imo.His confidence is improving that will contribute to improving his performances and hopefully leading to regaining his form of last season.5.5-6

Chiellini-hes doing well in CB, this game his positioning has notably improved. His tackling is top notch along with his challenges, dont know if DD is going to keep him there full time though, but its great to have a versatile like him.6.5

Boumsong-Well hes improving day by day imo, and thats mostly due to the fact that he doesn't overdue things anymore. His positioning and challenges were good and hoping that he would improve even more.6

Zanetti, Gianni-I thought they did very as they held the midfield very well and just coverd heaps of ground. They also didnt give a "good" piacenza defense almost any room to breathe. However both their passing (other than the 5meter pass) was awful.5.5-6

Marchionni-He just came back to regular football, so i will give him a break. But he needs to improve his game as he didn't provide the team with much creativity or even presenting himself in good positions. Hopefully that would improve.5-5.5

Neddy-Didnt stop running until the 93 minute, played very well and should've had a one-on one with the keeper but was deemed offside(wrongly), capped his performance with a great assist to alex.:tup:6.5

Alex-hattrick hero again, took his goals very and that third goal just showed his class. He didnt do much before that but his work rate was good overall.:tup:7

Trezi-Well 30seconds in and he scores a screamer just to shut up the critics. His overall game was very good and especially his layoffs to the midfielders around him and to Alex.Had a couple of tough chances later on, but couldn't convert. His work rate was very good and hoping the next game he would get more chances.6.5

-

Camo- didnt have much of an impact on the game, but he presented himself better than marchionni.

Paro-regulated the midfield better in terms of passing , more than he predecessors. But didnt more impact.

Palladino-NA

DD-The team did well and some of the credit goes to him. I liked that he was on the touchline most of time. But i dont know what is his problem with Boji.He saves the game last week and then he doesn't even get 5 mins.Well DD knows his team better and in this game i thought he didnt make the same as before.

Special mention Nocerino-He had a very good game and was a real trouble for the midfield and for biri especially. We needed to have two players against him to close him down and sometimes that wasn't enough.I dont know if Secco saw the game, but i think his contract should be bought soon.

Del Piero's 212.goal

he scored 15 goals in league
:disagree: 211 goals, 14 in the league.

Boumsong- some terrible giveaways early in the game, and some piss-poor covering...all of 'Cenza's attacks focused on him, and were lucky not to score at least one because of him. He should be immediately dropped from the squad if/WHEN we make it back into Serie A
Vinnie, you are full of shit, Boumsong was excellent. :D

P.S. Sateeh, thanks for the report. Can you just please add your ratings??

At Juventus Channel, they asked Balzaretti what did he feel when he crawled through the legs of the defender, he said: "It was like a tunnel." :D

Thanks to Swag, Sateeh and Vinman for the reports. Although I saw the game, it was through a stream which isn't always very watchable.

I think I read something from Secco not that long ago, saying he does not wish to lose Nocerino; a midfielder of great technique and personality. Although I would not be surpirsed if Nocerino were to be included as makeweight for a more experienced and established midfielder in any future transfer deal.
