DD- I can see we are going down the same road with Boji as we did with Mutu...I dont think he'll be around next season with such a lack of playing time. IMO, Boji is the future of this team, more so than Palladino, and should have been given another chance after he stole the game for us last week. Just my 2 cents
:agree: Sadly true...
It'll be a great loss to Juve if he leaves :disagree:

Time for the swag report...

I got to watch this live today. Man, when's they last time I've been able to say that on the Left Coast?!

Anyway, a good win, but an expected one. Trez completely pounced on an opportunity in the opening minute with a brilliant goal I saw coming. And if not for that, Piacenza played the advantage through most of the first half? Why? Well, our midfield looked rather poor. Gigi was immense today, the backline looked about as solid as it has in a while, but our central midfield with Giannichedda and Zanetti was generally pretty disastrous, IMO, despite the scoreline.

While DP earned a super hat trick today, this wasn't one of his better games. He made some poor plays and, IMO, looked like a candidate worth pulling in the second half if the set piece goals didn't start raining in as they did.

Buffon - 7 - A little off-step, but nice recover a couple of times. My MOM.

Balzaretti - 6 - Solid defensively (loved the nutmeg where he followed the ball under the guys legs ), but was off the mark offensively.

Birindelli - 6.5 - A rare defensive error here and there, but he was generally solid and prevented crosses. Not only that, but he made some very nice plays to feed the ball into the box. Not bad for an "old" guy. :)

Chiellini - 6.5 - Very solid in defense.

Boumsong - 6.5 - Got beat once, but otherwise did a nice job on defense.

Giannichedda - 5 - Ugh. Terrible at possession. Errant passes. A true pasticcio out there.

Zanetti - 5 - Not much better. Poor possession, but foul on any offensive plays -- shots and passes way off the mark.

Nedved - 6.5 - We could be up 3-0 and the guy does not stop. Case and point: his feed to DP for the final goal. The engine that could.

Marchionni - 5.5 - Was best when he forced the ball forward and forced defenders to play off balance, even if he was. Otherwise spent too much time falling down and hitting the ball at defenders.

Trezeguet - 6.5 - The first touch was glorious. Some good touches throughout the match. May not have tallied all the goals, but his one-touch assists and play was spot on for where we need him.

Del Piero - 7 - A mixed bag. I cannot give a guy with a hat trick under 6.5 for a rating, but he struggled for much of the match. Some poor passes and ball movement. But he salvaged it on set pieces and his final goal, which was an awesome piece of work where he made two defenders drop to the ground and miss on the shot.

Subs:

Camoranesi - 5.5 - Didn't add anything other than a yellow card. Not much better than Marchionni out there.

Paro - 6 - Didn't see him involved much, but having Zanetti off the pitch today was a real plus.

Palladino - NR - On too short to make an impact.

DD - 6 - Patient. Decent subs. Honestly would have liked to have seen DP pulled earlier (believe it or not) and Palla or Boji brought on with more time when we had the match wrapped up.

Superb win but I must say I agree with Didi on that it was a rather flattering scoreline. Piacenza is not such a bad team. But at the end of the day it's probably why we beat them thoroughly, because they didn't play with the same cowardice and negative approach most sides have faced us with this season.

Good second half

FORZA JUVE!

Saw the highlights of the game. I'm glad to see our beloved team performing this way, yes though we're in Serie B, I'm very proud of this Juventus.

I can't give the right details like the one who watched the game, but from what I saw, our defenders were up to it today. There was couple of mistakes but then everything went back to normal.

Game by game and Pavel keeps impressing me more and more, this man will always have a big place in our heart(fans).

And to our Captain:touched:, his 3rd goal says it all, the man is class in every single word, though I keep on repeating it but the way this man touches the ball is completely diff from other players. He really got magic. Bravo Capitano:star:

It's good to see Trezeguet scoring, wonderful goal.
