that seems to be true...

from watching most of the games this season, these smaller teams are giving 110% the entire 90 minutes...many of these guys must realize that they may never play against the giants of Italian football ever again, so it becomes the games of their lives

also, it seems that the smaller teams put 10 guys behind the ball at times, out of fear of our attack

I was happy with our overall performance against Genoa, and as DD, or somebody else already stated, its just that much easier for things to work when a team comes to play, rather than hope for a draw, and play ultra-defensive

We owned the first half, barring DiVaio's goal off of a rebound that Gigi couldnt get a hold of

DP, Neddy and Camo were first class !! Trez had a slow start, and made up for it with a nice goal

The second half was a lot closer, but again, I was happy with our play

The only negative that I could see from this game is Marchisio...I'm not sure if he is ready to be a starter on this team just yet, he needs some overall improvement, especially with his passing
why arent you calling DD, deschumps??

ok, just because i am new to the forum doesnt mean i dont know nothing about football. And besides, you should stick to learning your grammar and punctuation, and trading your baseball cards.

p.s, rookie?? that just shows it all, stick to baseball and keeping the streets safe.

Generally, I agree with such a view. I never thought about comparing our performance to that of the Serie A teams and how much we could benefit of facing teams who give more than their maximum efforts when they face us. I think there are still some positive points in Serie B including that previously mentioned one.

By the way, this reminds me of a coach (I don't remember whom precisely) who said that to win the Serie A, you have to win at least 80% or more of your matches against smaller sides and leave the big confrontations to their times.
This is how Juve won many scudetti relative to our Milan counterparts.

Commenting on the bold part, I think that Marchisio is doing well. He runs a lot, has a high stamina, aggressive and he is better and younger than Paro. However, I still think that he needs a couple of seasons to guarantee a regular place in the squad.
I haven't finished watching the entire match yet (man, this new job transition thing is taking up too much precious free time in my life! :p). But I've seen enough to notice that Marchisio started one of his worst matches of his career for us against Genoa. Some simply inexcusable errant passes and bad clearances.

Then the guy flipped later in the match and made some brilliant plays upfield. Like the deep pass/clearance that sprung Trez for the should-have-been goal that Trez choked on twice. He also mixed it up in Genoa's box with some nice passes that our more experienced players couldn't finish on.

Overall, a poor game with a few moments where he shined. It was still one of his poorer matches for us. It would be good to see him flounder a little less -- which he has previously proven himself capable of. Still, I would much rather have him back there than, say, Blasi.

:blah: :blah: :blah:

are you done yet ?? Or should I get a violin and a box of tissues for you

listen newbie, be a good boy and go correct someone's spelling and grammar elsewhere on this forum

Do I really care if I miss an apostrophe here and there ?? Does it bother your sorry ass that much ??

I have no more than 30 minutes on the computer a day, so if I miss a comma or apostrophe once in a while, then thats life (see...I missed an apostrophe in "that's").

Take an aspirin, and relax newbie, not everyone is going to have perfect grammar on an internet forum...but I challenge you to find ANY post that I have misspelled a word...

good luck son.....

That way of thinking is realistic and logical actually.

When I expressed my opinion about Marchisio, I was talking general, not just about his performance against Genoa. I agree with what you said in fact, I still think that his positioning - when to attack and to defend - was pretty good, nevertheless.

About his errant passes, this is a disease which can be treated, he just need more time to settle and to improve.

Regarding your precious time, Juve deserve it, man.

someone has a big ego

well, what can you expect from a guy who is a cop and refers himself in the 3rd face.
    :D It's in jest, guys.

But at some level, if you get into a debate about post quality here, you have to prove yourself here over time. Like it or not, Vinman certainly has tenure...

His inconsistencies and inaccuracies are down to his inexperience and young age. Those brilliant flashes, are the true Marchisio. Remember, he's only 20 years old. With time his faults will be ironed out and he'll be only about those brilliant plays upfield. Marchisio's the real deal! :agree:
