Under Capello Nedved never played behind the strikers, I'd like to see Didier giving him a chance and play him behind Dp-Trezeguet. He's way better in that position.

And for Part II...

Bari are currently coached by rookie, Rolando Maran.

Rolando Maran has only 3 years of Managerial experience, in Serie C1 with Cittadella Padova (not the club Del Piero started off with, their rivals). He finished 7th, 11th, then 12th, after which he had a brief stint at Brescia. He then joined AS Bari this year occupying 8th place after 19 gameweeks of play.
Bari played with the below formation in their last match 0-0 vs. AlbinoLeffe. Speaking of which, they've been scoreless in their last two matches.

BARI: Gillet, Esposito, Pianu, Micolucci, Milani, Bellavista, Gazzi, Rajcic (dall'81' Fusani), Scaglia (dal 70' La Vista), Vantaggiato, Di Vicino (dal 71' Cazzola)
A disposizione: Aldegani, Gervasoni, Belmonte, Bovo
According to that formation it seems that Rolando Maran likes to play a very cautious 4-5-1 to 4-4-2 formation depending on substitutions during the match.

Their "star" striker is Vincenzo Santoruvo with five goals this season. I think he is injured ATM, and will not feature tonite.

Another striker up front is Daniele Vantaggiato who's scored 2 goals this season in 9 Serie B appearances.

The midfielder that will be supplying the goals for Bari is Massimiliano Scaglia. (Pictured below in a Fiorentina top)

Bari also have former Perugia midfielder Massimiliano Fusani. He might be one of the few familiar faces at Bari.

Alessandro Carlo Cazzi, Lazio youth product, is one of the playmakers in the Bari midfield.

In defense Vittorio Micolucci has been a prominent fixture for the past two seasons at Bari. He usually plays right back, and sometimes center back.

In goal, coming from Belgium is Jean Francois GILLET.

AS Bari are looking to revive their good times, the Serie A days. Will Santoruvo, Vantagiatto & co. (pictured below) be able to signal a new era for this club?

Bari's results so far...

All in all, this seems to be an easy fixture for Juve, and they definitely must win it against an inexperienced team such as Bari.

I predict a 2-0 win for Juve. :)

I know I always say this and break my promise...but I'll and do this every week. Or at least fill in the gaps during ritorno for the teams I havent previewed :D

Serie B Table

Juventus 35 19 13 5 1 32 10
Napoli 35 19 9 8 2 20 11
Piacenza 34 19 10 4 5 24 19
Rimini 33 19 9 6 4 32 19
Mantova 33 19 8 9 2 21 12
Bologna 33 19 10 3 6 24 17
Genoa 32 19 9 5 5 31 25

As you can see in the standings there are seven teams very close together in the standings all fighting for promotion to Serie A. Without the 9-point penalty we would have had 44 points - 9 points ahead of Napoli. Very good.

So the results have been good so far considering circumstances like the departure of stars and the mental task it was to get relegated with a point penalty. Not to mention getting used to the difference from playing the tactical Serie A to the more aggressive Serie B. Plus the injuries and the line of sad events for Juvenus that occured lately.

I hope we can slowly isolate ourselves in first place by making a gap to the 6 other top teams in Serie B and go on to easily win the league and more importantly promotion. In order to do that we must go on winning all our matches.

Today we face Bari at home. Fortunately we have recovered 5 players from injury and suspension. Nedved, Zanetti, Giannichedda, Marchionni and Legrottaglie. A remarkable boost in strength for Juve.

Only a victory counts today. For Juventus victory is the only satisfying outcome. You cannot say Juve without saying victory.

Here is what Didier Deschamps said about our opponent today: “Bari have only conceded 12 goals so far, but they’ve also only scored 18. They defend well and leave very little space for the opposition to play in. I don’t expect them to play any differently tomorrow, they’ll play their natural game of keeping it tight at the back and hitting us on the break, just as Cesena did and most other teams do at the Olimpico. We have to create space for ourselves so we’ll be looking to get forward at every opportunity. We’ll inevitably leave gaps at the back but that’s how it is for us in Serie B”

Alessandro Del Piero plays his match number 500 in the Bianconeri shirt. Let's pray our ultimate star crowns this milestone with goals and a victory for Juve. :pint:

I hope we field this team:

Mirante

Birindelli - Legrottaglie - Giannichedda - Balzaretti

Camoranesi - Paro - Zanetti - Nedved

Del Piero - Trezeguet

Jokers on the bench are Bojinov, Palladino and Marchionni.

I predict a narrow 1 - 0 victory for Juventus with the goal from Del Piero.

Forza Juve

Neddy makes a GREAT trequartista...it is more of a free role, and he has a massive shot from outside the box (most of his goals have come from outside the box, near the middle)

Rhizoid, thanks for all the pics and info you provided

one thing is for sure, Bari isn't consistent when it comes to winning

Gianni as CB?? I'm not sure of that....I'd also like to see Bojinov taking part of this game.

Good post.
