we played a very good game against an organised team.First half was one of our best for the whole season. We didnt give away anything at all and almost everyone was pushing forward.

Second half there was a bit of energy conserving and since all the subs were made there wasn't a change in the forward line. Fatigue eventually settled and we couldn't finish the counter attacks.

Gigi-not much to do as the defence was on top form tonite, there was one occasion where he did well to save a semi deflected cross.

biri- probably played his best game for us this season.Although there were times where he would go forward to press and he would be expose his position. But overall he did very well and even had a powerfull free kick saved by Viviano.

Boumsong-hes becoming mr.depenable at the back line.Didnt put a foot wrong all night.Shame he was injured, i hope its not anything serious as we really need him back there.

kovac-few uncharacterisitcal mistakes from robert, but he put in some good challenges too.I hope his injury is not bad as well.

chiellini-Ran his socks off tonight, playing left then in the center.Great first half on that left hand side then transferred to the center where although u could understand some positioning mistakes but his challenges were perfect. After Boumsong was out he covered that whole backline.MOM

paro-Although we r all asking for him to be played in a more attacking position, i think DD sees him as the link between the three lines. And imo he did that role tonight. He had a better game than the last three ones.Asked for the ball more and distributed simply without overplaying most of his passes.Good signs of improvement from matteo

marchisio-First start of the season and he played a very good game imo.Good passing, tackling and he was just tireless in the midfield.Even pushed forward and had a few flicks with alex and neddy. Promising stuff for the future i have to say.

Neddy-I guess this reminded him of the beating he takes in serie A.But i think he played very well in that attacking midfielder role.Created some good chances overall and even had a few shots(two were good saves by Viviano). Linked well with Alex and there was a period of great interplay between the two which was just joy to watch. I liked how once in the game young Marchisio had a wayward pass and Neddy just encourged him and gave him the thumbs up.Great attitude from him there.

Marchionni-The position he played as an advanced winger is the most suited for him and thats where he likes to play since the parma days. I thought he played well, linked well with the other attacking players and ran hard accross the front line to apply pressure even to the left side. Shame he was injured, i hope its nothing serious.

Alex-good game overall from the captain.Great free kick for the first goal and his cross was deflected in for the 2nd.Ran hard for about 60-65 minutes in the game then fatigue creeped in which is understandable. I liked how he always tried to set up trezi so he can score and was angry with himself when he couldn't. Nothing u dont expect from Ale.

Trezi-2nd or 3rd game in a row that he gets frustrated with himself and you could see it for not scoring.Had a great chance one on one in the begining of the first half but he couldnt finish it off. I really wanted him to score, but it wasn't to be. I hope hes saving for Monday.

Camo-When he came in i thought the team's formation was going to be changed to a 4-4-2, cuz camo isnt very effective in a 4-3-3 advanced winger position. And i dont think he was.But credit to him for always tracking back and putting a few crosses and through passes.

Balza-He played well defensively, did his role perfectly from that aspect..However offesively he didnt impress me at all.He had just limited crosses and they weren't his best. Anyway they say a thousand mile's journey starts with one step and he took that, so i hope he will build on and regain his form gradually.

Legro-liked that he was confident especially in the aerial challenges. However he was often out of position and beaten for pace one or twice. But ofcourse i dont expect him to be at best form from the first game.

DD-New formation and a very improved performance. Liked how he knows his players abilities and thats why he started with Marchisio and Marchionni just to accomodate the change in tactics.
Shame he was forced to do his chages as i was interested in what he would introduce later. But read the game very well and made some good decisions especially regarding moving chiellini to CB

ps.It was just great seeing Pesso again and looking well :touched: forza pesso
great post, I am in total agreement !!

its always a great day when Legro plays more than 20 minutes, and we dont get scored on !!!:D

Finally a good performance from Juventus.

Did anyone notice that we gave 4 goals disallowed in last 4 games?

2 - Trezeguet, 1 - Del Piero, 1 - Bojinov.

I don´t like this.

Very bad thing that 3 of our players got injured, especially CB´s and the best ones, Kovac and Boumsong. I hope it is not serious.

Injury list is now quite long - Giannichedda, Marchionni, Zebina, Tudor, Boumsong, Kovac.

Half of our defenders injured.:depressed

We´re screwed against Napoli.

P.S. Thanks to sateeh for Match Report.

Better think twice, man.

Our defense is respectable in the terms of Serie B.

I mean, which other Serie B Club has only 2 goals conceded from 9 games this season?

Deschamps: “Great first half”

Didier Deschamps was satisfied with his team’s win against Brescia, which sees them climb to third in the league, just three points off top spot. “We played a great first half, with rhythm and pace. This is how we caused problems for Brescia, who’s technical level is much higher than those of other sides we’ve played. They dominate posession like us, which inevitably leaves some space at the back. The two goals allowed us to control the second half”. Deschamps was impressed with the performances of the two youngsters, Paro and Marchisio, who formed the midfield pairing. “They were great, I brought Nedved into the middle more for security, as that way he can get more involved with the game”. The coach then spoke about his two central defenders, Kovac and Boumsong, who both left the field with injuries. “For Kovac it was just a knock and there shouldn’t be any problems, for Boumsong though, it’s a muscle problem and we’ll only know more tomorrow”. And an word on Pessotto who was in the stands to watch the game. “We’re all very happy to have him back with us”.

Balzaretti: “We couldn’t mess up tonight!”

“It was easier than expected. Brescia are a good team but it’s sometimes easier to play against the better sides as they come at you more and the space opens up”. Federico Balzaretti came on in the second half to help the Bianconeri see out the win on a very special day. “We couldn’t mess up this evening! The stadium was packed for the birthday celebrations and there were all the great champions here to watch the game. I hope they enjoyed themselves”. The win tonight takes Juventus to third in the table. “It’s a long, long championship with danger lurking around every corner, but so far so good”.

Marchisio: “Alex and Gigi helped me relax”

Claudio Marchisio made his first start in Juventus colours this evening, helping the Bianconeri to a 2-0 defeat of Brescia. “My actual debut was on Saturday, even if it was only for five minutes. I knew it was going to be a tough match, Brescia are a good side, but Alex Del Piero and Gigi Buffon helped me relax and focus on my game”. The game had added significance with Juventus celebrating it’s 109th birthday today. “It was an emotional day, not just because of the party. The Primavera were awarded at half-time for the titles we won last year, and it was strange not being there, strange for my Primavera team mates as well. It’s a dream to play for the first team”.

Del Piero: “The tightness of the team is making the difference”

Del Piero was a satisfied man as he talked to the press, both for his two goals and for the great performances of all the Bianconeri. “It was a positive day, for me and for the team. In the first half we attacked vehemently and we scored the two goals. Thanks to the advantage, we were able to control the game in the second half. It’s thanks to our style of play, always looking to get the best results, that we’ve been able to reach the top few places in the table. The tightness of this group is making the difference”.

La Stampa's Evaluation of Juve Players:

Buffon 6
Birindelli 6
Kovac 6
Balzaretti 6
Boumsong 6,5
Legrottaglie 6
Chiellini 6,5
Paro 6
Marchisio 6,5
Marchionni 6
Camoranesi 6
Nedved 7
Del Piero 6,5
Trezeguet 5,5
Deschamps 6,5

So, the performance of all the players was approximately at the same level...

But Nedved was the best, and Trezeguet was the worst although I heard that he scored a legal goal which was cancelled...
