He was doing just fine up until his off game against Milan. If you play him in the middle of either a 442 or 443 he will do just fine...put him at LM in a 442 then suddenly all hell breaks lose because he doesn't perform there.

He can't play next to Pirlo in the center of a 4-4-2. Maybe against Siena or another team who sit back the whole match but that midfield isn't imposing enough at all.
