I don't understand, is there any particular reason that Trez played 90 minutes today, bearing in mind he's the only striker we know for sure will have to play vs Arsenal ?

Appiah spent most of his Juve career as a liability. I just don't want to sugar-coat his performance with us. It drove me crazy to see him subbed in, give the ball away, and we narrowly escape a goal at the other end. His forward passes for anything over 3 meters were crap. His ball control was poor at best.

It was ironically only at the end of his Juve career -- towards the waning moments of last season -- that I felt he really started to play well. But then we sold him of course. In some ways, that probably helped what we got in exchange for him. But in other ways, we invested getting the guy adjusted to our system and just when he started to turn the corner, he was out.

I agree on some points. He actually did great under Lippi, but as soon as Capello came he wasn't the same player he was under Lippi, but at the end of the season he re-gain his form and started imporving like hell. Mostly what I liked about him is that he was a fighter, a fighter that this team needs, though he probably can't pass over 3 or 4meters, but hes a kind of a player that never stops running.

That's becoS Appiah has been played out of position all the time. He should be played behind the strikers. Appiah can actually dribble, take free kicks and run very quickly, and as a captain for Ghana, he demonstrates his passion and leadership whenever he plays. No wonder Ghana loves him so much.

I didnt see the match, so I wont comment on a game that I didnt watch (unlike some other clowns here)

there is no excuse, however, to draw with the WORST team in Serie A, when you're playing with most of your starters....

Arsenal thrashes us again on wednesday

Appiah is doing wonders with Fenerbahce. running dribling and all, he has a lot of atacking abilities that I nevers seen him with Juve.

I saw the game and in the first 20'-25' we were playing good... but then baaad.
I think we are tired physically and psychologically. The players need a break.
Can somebody explain why Capello with 9 points always play with the "normal" XI?
those player who play CL and the Serie A need a break!

My first post in this forum

I really dont understand why people here hate Capello so much .
I have been followin juve only for about 6 years so cant say anythin about lippi's first term in charge .
But as far as Lippi's second term went , things werent any better than what FC is being able to produce currently in Europe .

I remember juve being thrashed 3-1 by arsenal in 2001 , leverkuessen thrashed us and so did depo in 2001-02
The performances then were worse than what we achieved under Capello in europe in the last 2 years .

In 2003 though we got to the final , we lost to newcastle , were hammered by Man U , indeed the 3-0 defeat by Man U at home was the worst moment of my time as a Juve fan . We also never looked like scoring agaisnt Milan in the final .
Yes we had some great games that season , but the fact is we had our fair share of problems too.

Again in 2004 depo knocked us out pretty easily .
Lippi relied too much on ageing defenders like ferrara , montero and the new defender he signed legrottaglie was a total waste .
Tudor was a player who used to make horrendous mistakes as well , (though he used to score a few with his head) .

Agreed Capello favours Zlatan too much , but even Lippi used to favour certain players too like ferrara (even though past his prime ) DP , (di vaio was in good form when he was signed from parma but lippi never used him enough )

So while i am not saying Capello is great , Lippi isnt exactly a step up from him

And coming to this game , dissapointing result yes .....but what counts is that the scudetto is now in the bag .

Juventus vs Arsenal ............ no comments
