Hardly. Zalayeta has proven useful as a fourth/fifth striker in the past. Never moaning and scoring in the few minutes he played. I also hope that he stays, but he isn't anywhere near the level required to play more then five matches a season for Juve.

Olivera has always been labeled a big talent, but I don't see why. He was good for ONE month, september 2004 when Camoranesi was in poor form and Ruben just got back from loan at Atletico. Other then that he has been playing poor, as right, left or centrak midfielder.
I dont think you can blame any of them two for not being "great" players. The fact is that whenever they played they have been effective. Zalayeta has no doubt scored some crucial goals as for the ability regarding his stamina? well dont really blame him you cant expect a player to be fully fit to last 90 minutes when in reality his hardly calle dup to play 90 minutes. The same goes for Olivera.

When camo got injured in came Olivera, and he prooved his a useful player. Just a match before camo coming back to the team, Olivera ended up playing a dissapointing match and on that basis capello decided he didnt need him anymore, especially as camo came back. I think his been unfairly judged the reality is both players just havent been given enough to proove themselfs its a pity but to be prrfectly honest I believe the match against treviso is their only chance to show why they belong at Juve.

The fact that we already seem short of attacking midfielders it would have been wise for capello to make some use out of olivera and if he didnt have faith in him in the first place he should have got rid of him. If he does end up performing really well against treviso if given a chance and who knows finishes the season on a high then I really hope he does leave our club as some players just aint treated on the same level as others. A certain maresca comes in mind..

We should rest all of our starters ...and play with a second string plus Ibra

Viera, camo, zebina should be the only starters

personally i feel that our first team regular's need to be rested if we have a remote chance of overturning that result with arsenal.mutu should defintely play as the support striker.

On the note of stating the line up, heres what I would play against treviso.

Abbiatti
Birindelli Kovac Giannichedda Balzaretti
Viera
Camo Chiellini
Olivera
Zalayeta Ibrahimovic

Below are my reasons for choosing the players.

Abbiati - An effective replacement for buffon. Where the latter should concentrate only on Arsenal.

Birendelli - One of my favourites, a time to welcome him back from injury and play him instead of zebina. Although zebina should be given a chance to come in the second half.

Kovac - An ideal replacement for thurram/ canavaro.

Giannichedda - He needs some match fitness, and has shown his a decent defender at his time with lazio. Also may be a likely replacement for viera against arsenal.

Balza - No zambro for me as he should be watching arsenal against villa. Balza should cause enough problems for treviso.

Camo - time to take out his frustation out ( Hopefully by not getting sent off) and showing exactly what he can do for us.

Viera - Always a first team starter, not gonna be facing his ex team, so what teh heck we aint paying him to just sit on the bench now.. are we?

Chiellini - Good going up, bad stretching back, enough said.

Olivera- A chance for him to show what his capable of if he plays good, I think he should be considered to play against arsenal.

Zala - As above, we need the goals, and hopefully his fitness level should grow (despite it being one match). Maybe a taster of a starting chance should give him enough determination against arsenal.

Ibrahimovic - To not choose him wouldnt be capello, so his a must in that case, and personally I dont think he should start against arsenal.

Capello: “We’re focused on Treviso”

“If you look at the League it’s deceptive because at the moment Treviso are one of the most in-form squads around. I saw their last game, against Palermo, and I have to say that they are playing very well.” Fabio Capello was keen to stress that nothing could be taken for granted in the game against Treviso this Saturday, and that to underestimate the Veneti would be a mistake.

However, the focus of much of the press was on the second leg game with Arsenal: “We watched a replay of the game and we’re disappointed with the way we played after half-time…the first half was good but then we allowed them to score two avoidable goals on the counter-attack. However, we have faith in the return leg, even though we know it will be difficult. We lost a game, but we can recover and have all the means necessary to do so. Arsenal seemed faster than us? Well, when you sit in your own half of the pitch and then break on the counter-attack it’s easy to give that impression. When we have been defensive, for example against Roma, the giallorossi didn’t seem so quick then…”

The Juve coach also ruled out the notion that his selection for the game against Treviso would be influenced by the Arsenal match: “On Saturday we aren’t going to go onto the pitch thinking about Arsenal. There are still seven games left to play in the Championship and points to be gained. Right now we are only thinking about winning against Treviso.”

Serie A Preview: Treviso-Juventus

Juventus travel to Treviso on Saturday stung by the criticism following their horror show against Arsenal. Whilst their domestic dominance will stand them in good stead, Capello will expect nothing less than a convincing victory against Serie A’s bottom side.

BACKGROUND

Despite Juve’s recent stumble, there can hardly be a bigger mismatch in the Serie A calendar. Both Treviso and Juventus have opened up massive gaps between themselves and their nearest rivals as the season has progressed. Whilst Juve lead Serie A by 8 points, Treviso are the wrong side of a 14 point gap which all but guarantees Serie B football next season. Diego Bortoluzzi’s men will be facing the Bianconeri at the best possible time as Juve’s Serie A form has dipped of late and against Arsenal they were shambolic at best.

Juventus boss Fabio Capello was furious with his side after the Champions League tie at Highbury and there are players in the squad now that will be planning for their futures in Turin. The former Milan and Real Madrid boss will want a positive reaction from his side and nothing but a comfortable win at the Stadio Omobono Tenni will satisfy the tactician.

FORM GUIDE
Treviso:
Their last point came during a 1-1 draw with Empoli. Since then Treviso have not managed to pick up a point and look destined for Serie B.

Juventus:
Despite recent draws in Serie A, Juventus’ form has been exceptional this season and their 8 point lead is a testament to this. With Arsenal’s win last week, Juve have show once again that their European form is not up to the level of their domestic achievements witch has often been the case in recent seasons.

TEAM NEWS

Treviso:
With Antonio Filippini suspended Treviso have lost a their main attacking threat. Baseggio starts the match and he is more than capable of scoring a goal. Dino Fava starts on the bench and Emanuele Filippini starts in midfield for Treviso.

Juventus:
To many critics surprise Camoranesi will start the match despite reports that Juve are set to offload the winger in the summer following his antics at Highbury. Trezeguet and Mutu drop to the bench whilst Olivera and Zalayeta start for the Bianconeri. Giannichedda replaces Emerson whilst Kovac and Balzaretti replace Cannavaro and Zambrotta respectively. Zebina keeps his place despite his rash sending off on Tuesday.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Treviso:
Emanuele Filippini is probably one of the most high profile players in a teams lacking in superstars. With twin brother Antonio missing the tie, Emanuele will have to be at his best if Treviso are to manage an improbable result against a wounded Juventus side. The Treviso enforcer will relish his battle in midfield with such a stellar line-up. The tough tackling midfielder never pulls out of a challenge and has the guile to open up opposing defenses

Juventus:
Olivera has had little laying time in which to impress Capello this season and a surprising recall against Treviso could be the perfect opportunity to prove he is worth a regular run out with the Bianconeri. The Uruguayan is certainly capable of opening up Treviso’s back line and will be keen to show Juve fans what they have been missing.

PROBABLE STARTING XIs

Treviso:
Zancope- Maggio, Cottafava, Viali, Dossena – E. Filippini, Baseggio, De Martino, Vascak - Borriello, Beghetto

Juventus:
Buffon - Zebina, Kovac, Thuram, Balzaretti - Camoranesi, Vieira, Giannichedda, Olivera - Ibrahimovic, Zalayeta.

PREDICTION

Juventus should easily cope with Treviso and win comfortably.

Treviso 0-3 Juventus

Olivera was actually a starter for a short period of time (including 'if I don't play I'll leave' comments from Camoranesi). But the problem was he was way too inconsistent, and that inconsistency makes him a poor sub. Olivera in top form is certainly good enough to be a sub for Camo, but at the moment I would rate Marchionni much higher.

Zalayeta is a different story, he has gotten loads more playing time then Olivera, and has proven that he is a good striker. But with a strike force with DP, Ibrahimovic and Trezeguet he doesn't get a lot of playing time. But I can safely say that I can rate Zalayeta, where I don't have a clue of what Olivera would be capable of. Juventus is too big a club to give young players the patience to reach their potential, unfortunately.

Didn't Capello say that he included Birindelli in the match squad? Thought I read something about that in the news section. I hope it's true, no Zebina and we get to see Biri back in action.
