Capello cross with Juve stalemate Saturday 1 April, 2006

Juventus have extended their lead to nine points, but Fabio Capello is far from happy with the 0-0 draw at Treviso.
“In the first half we had several good scoring opportunities and another three after the break, so this isn’t a scoreline that satisfies me. In any case, I am happy with the overall performance,” said the Coach.
While Milan and Inter fielded second-string sides ahead of the Champions League quarter-finals, the Bianconeri had practically a full-strength team against the bottom of the table outfit.
“How was I supposed to rotate the squad when all I had on the bench was Giuliano Giannichedda for the midfield?” said Capello.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Trezeguet both started the match, while Marcelo Zalayeta was only brought on later.
There is now the risk that they will be tired for the second leg against Arsenal on Wednesday and confidence is low following just two points – and one goal – in their last three games between Serie A and the Champions League.
“I don’t really read the newspapers or watch television, so I always tell my players to focus on what’s happening on the pitch. My only regrets about the first leg was playing a good first half and yet going into the break 1-0 down. I am the first to say we allowed Arsenal some chances in the second half that were easily avoidable. Evidently we weren’t concentrated or determined enough.”
The Bianconeri will be without the suspended Jonathan Zebina, Patrick Vieira and Mauro Camoranesi when they welcome Arsenal to the Delle Alpi in a bid to overturn that 2-0 defeat.
“We know what we have to do and that is create some problems for them. Arsenal have a great counter-attacking system with quality and pace. It’s a difficult task, but it depends on how things go. We must go forward and be wary of their ability to hit us on the break.”
Wonder who release Tacchi, Maresca and Appiah :rolleyes2
