Unacceptable performance, specially in the first half. I can swallow the 2nd not because we scored but because we tried creating chances only.

That said, I'm happy we got 3points, winning this match morally was very important for Wed's match vs Sampdoria. Had we end up with 1point in this match we were going to play vs Samp under huge pressure.

Buffon 6.5

Grygera 5
Legro 6.5
Chiellini 7
Molinaro 4

Melo 7:star:
Poulsen 5
De Ceglie 5
Diego 6.5

Amauri 6
Trezeguet 5

Caceres 6
Camoranesi 6
Sissoko NR

Ferrara: Unacceptable formation that was, Camoranesi was a must for this match and not starting Giovinco was strange really.

it wasn't the 4-3-1-2, it was the personnel Ciro used with it...what the hell does one expect if you have DC and PouPou as your side MFs...Ciro is to be criticised not the players

the Jew was the same as he always was, I daresay he was not so bad, linked up well enough with DC down the left hand side...as for his passing and crossing, we all know that it will never change

We were bad. Don't try to prove otherwise or find positives because there weren't. We were awful, we had no game plan, and we were lucky that the opponent was to coward and to weak to do more.

Ranieri lost at home to last placed Livorno.

How do we get all these coaches?
We were better than the performance against Palermo?

Here we go again. It feels like I write the same post match reflections after each game this Juventus plays. This is getting repetitive and really boring. We have fielded different formations and changed formations during play and we are still clueless in the final third. We hustle and use energy without really getting anywhere. Our players get tired out of this useless usage of energy and
it hurts us in the final minutes.

We always seem to allow our opponents to take the game to us no matter who we are facing. We repeatedly field a formation that tortures our key figure, Diego and force him to do everything by himself.

Today the referee helped us, in fact he robbed Siena a victory. Minutes before Amauri's goal, they were robbed an offside where their target man could have found himslef one-on-one with Buffon. A couple of minutes afterwards, a crystal clear penalty after a hands situation Legrottaglie was not whistled either.

In the first half where Juventus usually burn out all their energy, we held possession and were able to regain it easily due to the thousands of errors that Siena made. In the second half we let a young player in the shape of Ekdal to own our 60 Million € + midfield. We also allowed Buffon to save our asses again.

Buffon 7.5: Saved our asses at multiple opportunities today.

    Grygera 4: Pretty much useless.
Legrottaglie 4.5: Almost cost us the game at several opportunities.
Chiellini 7: Very solid and mature, he also adds a drive force forward up the pitch at times.
Molinaro 4: Why did we get to see him again?

Melo 5: A very average game from Melo today, he has lost his talent to boss the midfield and Ekdal made him look like a school boy at times.
Poulsen 5: Played out position in the first half, shaky and tired in the second half.
De Ceglie 6: Some good runs and a few decent crosses but also got burnt out in the second half.
Diego 6.5: Our best midfielder but then again, he could do much much better with different players close to him

    Trezeguet 4.5: Invisible
Amauri 6: Missed a lot of chances but good that he scored the match winner.

Caceres 5.5: An improvement over Grygera but somehow reckless. I guess he has potential but we need to invest time in him.
Camoranesi: 6 Made Diego's task easier and added something to our stagnant formation.

It's hard to compare because Palermo are stronger than Siena and they played a great match while Siena were shit. Siena hardly attacked us so the funny defending from the Palermo match couldn't be noticed today.
But in everything else we were almost, or just as, clueless as we were against Palermo.

Agree overall but Legro's handball was outside the box if am not mistaken.
Also I thought trezi was more positive, as he tried to link up more than once, hurried back a lot. But he was way too often in offside positions for my liking. Both him and Amauri were more equal imo. And agree with PDC as well who was more positive in the first half.

Then to our problems and it is becoming horribly " more of the same" in regards to the overall performance but some things look up as Diego played better today than last time around. But I don't think its much about him being isolated as its the combination of isolation and him not going to the spaces on the side. This system ( and many of the other options we have) will not work unless more runs are done from the midfielders through the center or the side or whatever. We are too static and slow in possession and its killing us. Its exactly how you put it in regards to burning energy aimlessly.

Many people are complaining about the system, when the end product of the game against Maccabi was exactly the same as this one. We still needed a set piece to win the game. I know the performance was a bit better but it wasn't large, so I wouldn't jump into overhauling changes yet. The root problem is not the system its the players and how their using it.

Scarping 1-0, relying to heavily on free kicks
And look at the teams we needed a free kick to win against. Chievo, Maccabi Haifa, Siena. This is not impressive. All 3 were Diego assists.

We don't play like a team. The lack of players able to attack ON PITCH is very worrying to me, especially against teams mentioned above.

The positive I'll take is that Ekdal looks like a very good player, and I wish him all the best for the rest of the season, because he could save us having to spend money on a position next summer.
