Both my parents are Italian, my family has a strong Italian identity. I speak Italian, I eat Italian and I frequent my family in Italy fairly often but I'm a proud Australian. This country gave us opportunities that we couldn't have dreamed of having had our families not migrated here. You would probably be living in some miserable shit hole in the south of Italy rooting your first cousin had your family stayed. Maybe you should be thankful for what this country has given you and your family and understand that you don't owe Italy anything. Its this ungrateful attitude which gives ammunition to the racist bigoted Australians here who are growing in numbers and to be honest I understand why they're angry at immigrants who are so ungrateful for what this country has done for them that they snub the Australian culture and way of life which has been the sole reason for why migrants have been embraced and accepted in Australia up until now.

Nenna did, as evidenced by these two quotes:

I just said this...

Then out of nowhere:
Hmm , well well to be honest Nenna's opinion doesn't really offensive and you just expressed your opinion which was normal , kinda misunderstanding imo .
be cool and type 3 lines of I Love Australia , you will be forgiven :p

Just my 2 cents
Ciao

Well fuck you then. I said maybe you're english or something, but now you attack my opinion. No shit I wouldn't have the same opportunities in Italy if my family didn't move but that's changed now. #1, no my family is not from south, they're from Pescara, Abruzzo. Central Italy.:

I don't understand why you think I shouldn't be allowed to move back to Italy and be proud of my Italian heritage. If you want to hide your heritage and fit in with 'aussies' with poor genes then good luck to you  I'm not fucking ungrateful at all but I prefer Italy. Why do you think people move countries in the first place?

Also, wogs fucking built this country and Australia would be backwards right now without Italians and Greeks. The aussies are bloody ungrateful. And snub the australian culture? Look at Australians now, thinking they invented cafes and pizza. Australia had very little culture. All of it was from england. Back in the 50's all they had was meat and two veg and not too much else. No rich history like Italy.
Great fucking post:

You should move back to Italy if you think all Australians are ungrateful for what Italian migrants have brought to this country. They showed how grateful they were when they let us in here, gave us jobs and a way of life that's such an improvement from the Italian one that Italians came here in droves and all this with very little protest from any Australians. You're obviously blind to not see that Australians have a culture of acceptance and tolerance that allowed us to integrate so easily here in the first place. They haven't taken credit for Italian culture, they've embraced it wholeheartedly so much so that it has become apart of the Australian way of life. Yet you want to generalise and demonise these 'Aussies' that you reject so much. You're just too immature to see how lucky you are. All you can say is that we gave them food and that apparently they're ungrateful for that and even pretend to have invented it which is obviously untrue. Go back to Abruzzo if you love it so much and stay there.

TBH, Italians have traditionally been the best integrators. It's the new wave of European immigration that is causing the problems.

We just got fingered because of the WorldCup 06, but i don't blame 2nd generation Italians for supporting their home country when most Australians couldn't care less about the world game. There's just no need to be in your face about it.

Fine, I will.

 And also you're just contradicting yourself. Now you say that aussies are accepting after just saying that many of them are racists. What you fail to say is how many Australians there actually are that despise wogs. They're everywhere, trust me, I've seen it and I've experienced it. And no, I'm not just talking about future-less drugged out bogans on the dole, people who have real jobs and responsibility. Also, did it ever occur to you that not everyone likes living in a city of 3 million people? Sure, it has it's advantages but I prefer smaller cities.
