I'm sick of seeing the 'look how Italian I am' people on this forum. Interdestroyer you might be a full blooded Italian but you're still Australian.

What time is this game for us?
:sergio: Italians, well most anyway are proud people. So why shouldn't I be? I've been to Italy and I prefer the culture over there so much more. It's called being proud of your heritage. Don't get me wrong I love being Australian but there's a lot of things here I really don't identify with. MAYBE it's just jealousy? I dunno, maybe your ancestors were convicts :boh: (I don't know what nationality you are besides Australian).

Dude nothing wrong with being proud your culture. But no need to worry about putting down other groups. Calling others inferior always comes back to bite you on the ass if you look through history.

Have to say I am very excited but I can't help but notice some similarities to two seasons ago. We started off well winning four straight games, crushing Roma at home, proclaiming Diego a great player, and hearing the same comments about how our manager had a winning mentality, knew what it meant to play for Juventus etc.

We were even tipped by many as scudetto favourites that year.
Yup. That's why it's too early for predictions.

The difference is, so far, that we played pretty bad on all 4 matches we won at the start under Ciro (even against Roma we were mediocre) while we played really well and organized in the opening match last week. If we keep playing well then even if we don't start with 4/4 as we did in 2009, I won't be worried about our season.

Both my parents are Italian, my family has a strong Italian identity. I speak Italian, I eat Italian and I frequent my family in Italy fairly often but I'm a proud Australian. This country gave us opportunities that we couldn't have dreamed of having had our families not migrated here. You would probably be living in some miserable shit hole in the south of Italy rooting your first cousin had your family stayed. Maybe you should be thankful for what this country has given you and your family and understand that you don't owe Italy anything. Its this ungrateful attitude which gives ammunition to the racist bigoted Australians here who are growing in numbers and to be honest I understand why they're angry at immigrants who are so ungrateful for what this country has done for them that they snub the Australian culture and way of life which has been the sole reason for why migrants have been embraced and accepted in Australia up until now.
