Yeah. Samp still have Palombo and Donadel to play in the centre, but Volpi is a key player for them. They'll definitely miss him, as well as Aimo Diana. Thuram and Cannavaro will still have to keep close tabs on Flachi and Bazzani though as they have a great understanding of each other and are seemingly capable of finding one another with ease.
Samp probably isn't too high on confidence right now, so we should take the game to them.

I think our shutout streak will end against them though. Probably a 2-1 win (DP pk, Trez) sounds about right. :)

DP could really use a goal to boost his confidence.

I hate it that the media always writes that DP played a bad match when he didn't score. A player does not need to score to be good, this applies even to a forward.

I wish DP would be treated the way Bergkamp is. Bergkamp scored about 2 or 3 goals last season and he was praised into the heavens..

Sampdoria hasnt won yet, so it's either gonna be really easy, or they are determined to win....which will make life difficult. i think we'll win, but not easily like the past 2 serie A games.

    Same here.

Though it means I have to get up in the middle of the night to watch the game, and it means I'll be carrying 2 large bags under my eyes to work...

    I don't care! I'm watching it man! :D

    Agree...
And i believe DP was not a pure forward.
He is more like having a free role, can go to anywhere he likes in the pitch.

"I¡'m now waiting for Alex Del Piero to take the next step in form which will allow the whole team to move up to another level.

"Looking at what he is doing in training and in games I think he is returning to his very best."

I hope Gigi is right :)

the new season has kicked off in perfect fashion I think fabio will again start with zlatan and trez. One interesting point is that buffon is back to full confidence he believes in his defence again

    forza juve

    so i predict 3-0 juve
    trez zlatan emerson
