how shit were we today. But i don’t really care at this point, in a scudetto race you’ll have these games where you miss some important players and where things don’t go your win. This game had dropped points written all over it after our midweek game and Inter’s farce yesterday. +3 is all that matters today and we can care about performance later.

Predictably terrible performance after midweek. Ref was abysmal but the team showed great character to keep going.

Disappointing that the best delivery of the day came from our centre back but a massive win.

I'm not the ref understands the concept of stoppage time. 3 seconds added in the first half when there was a goal and 2 VAR checks. Then blows full time before the ball has gone back in play when it was our throw. Bizarre game from him, we should have had at least 1 penalty, particularly when you look at some of the free-kicks he gave.
This team is crying out for creativity and football IQ. We really need some big changes to this squad when we go back into the CL next season.

But agreed. Huge character shown tonight. This team means business from now until the end of the season. Unfortunately we are up against an entire federation/country.

We buy a center back.

Getting all the points is what matters most, we did not play a good game by any stretch but also had to overcome a lot of adversity by being denied two clear PK’s and a few other dodgy calls throughout the game, while some of Allegri’s questionable timing of certain subs could have ended up costing us too, but all in all the main positive to take from this is that the players despite their shortcomings showed again a lot of character by not giving up and grinding to a hard fought victory.
