Roma are overrated, Ruinieris football says a lot. Just an average organised 10 man behind coach and unfortunately till this day we still struggle to find a solution.
Overrated or not, they’d won 7 in a row before this and haven’t lost in the league since December.

I’d take a point here over the various draws against fodder like Venezia and Cagliari.

The problem will be if we draw any of our next three winnable games.

Somwbody remind me when was the last time we won vs roma on olimpico?

Atrocious second half. This team is mentaly and phisicaly crippled.
3-4 back in January 2022. Chiesa ACL injury and De Sciglio meme goal.

Think we deserved more from this game but i guess a draw is perhaps fair too, did well in controlling the game overall however the unforced errors and being wasteful in the final third ultimately cost us, we do need to do better on many aspects if we want to get a win from this type of encounters, however can’t fault the attitude and hunger shown on the pitch tonight and hope to see more of it in the upcoming games.

Players are actually giving a shit and running and trying through the match. With Motta we would lose 5-0 no doubt.

But Susan and Nico were still bad.
I doubt we'd lose that bad, because Roma are no Atalanta, but yeah we will probably lose. Of course it's too early for Tudor football, it's just disappointing to see how we dominated with possession but still struggled to create against opposition that park the bus. Something we saw so many times with Mottaball. Granted some players are actually trying harder but if it wasn't for kalulu, we would have probably lost this.

I think you are being unfair there on Ranieri. This to me is very very average side in terms of players. Dybala is probably their only WC player if he is in form or not injured. Ranieri has done a really god job there imo when looking at it from neutral point of view.

Next week is huge

We play Lecce, whilst the other games will be Atalanta V Bologna and Lazio V Roma. Huge opportunity for us.
Got to win all of the next 3 games as the bare minimum, no ifs or buts, all of which are very ‘winnable’, otherwise we’ll find ourselves under even bigger pressure when the direct clashes with Bologna and Lazio come up.

I think our biggest problem right now is poor fitness and the players not being physically ready. Even players like Dusan and Koop being out of form probably has something to do with that. Now that we press more under Tudor and the team’s playing a more intense, high-energy style, the lack of fitness is way more obvious. In both games, it’s been clear the players ran out of energy in the second half. It honestly feels like the players are only fit enough to play at a high level for about 30 minutes and after that, the drop-off is huge. I don’t know what Motta and his staff did exactly, but this team looks like it’s playing its first pre-season games.

When all you do in training is stretch. Pass and have a kick about, I dont think you can expect fitness levels to increase, especially when we play once a week.

No hats off to him for getting the results. Not so much how it's done, especially tonight. They showed too much organised respect, type of football that used to make us cringe. I was expecting better from his team, considering their form. Only way we can get results is when teams come out at us, today was another example of how weve stalled when the opposition park the bus, even if it's the in form Roma.

This is symptoms of Mottaball, I dont expect everything to change overnight for Tudor, but frustrating nevertheless. On paper it's a decent result but I think it was there for the taking, though there was only one team trying to go for three points.

Good point on some podcast i heard - compare that game to our first game vs Roma, which was also a draw and we played at home. We stopped playing at around 80th minute, not really pushing for the win. Here we did push to get something more done until the end.

Motta was saving de Rossi's ass. They're friends.
