Funny how you saw it that way. I thought we played a rather decent game under the circumstances. Legro just blew the offside trap by a hair to lead to the first goal. If the other three defenders held back to mark, they would have all blown the trap! That's the whole point of the offside trap, afterall...

And I remember many games where it was us, the ball, and 11 defending men in the box to the goal. We were getting that today. But what surprised me is that we were still capable of making decent runs, creating some spaces, getting an occasional cross in (ok, a few to the moon). The team didn't just get clamped down and frustrated, unable to get a ball through the perimeter of the box. (Believe me, I watched Portugal's Euro 2008 quals where this happened all the time -- you have no idea how much worse you can look playing against a clamp down like that.)

That's happened to us far too often when we go one down early to an inferior team. But this was one where I honestly thought we had a real chance and enough time to get all three points. Many other matches like this, I don't even see how we'll even get one point -- crosses that don't make it past the first defender, only one or two men walking into the box marked by 8 others, etc.

In the end it all didn't matter anyway, because the ref was so inconsistent with the harshness or not of his calls that it was pointless anyway.
Leading up to the first goal, I felt they matched us on pitch. They got a few decent attacks in and forced Belardi into 1 or 2 good saves, while also laying deep and not letting any of our strikers get a sight of goal.

I don't think that we were going forward for the offside trap either. If I remember correctly, we were just starting an attack after clearing from the corner, and our defenders were moving quicker than the strikers. Molinaro was also playing Brienza onside as well, so I'm not convinced. It's that, or Molinaro is just an idiot, but he didn't look in a rush to put their players offside.

When we are playing against 11 men behind the ball, I think we should have at least 3 creative players in the midfield. They knew where we were going to go all the time because Camo and Nedved were the only creative sources in the center, and introducing Tiago would have maybe kept us at least a point.

We don't look like a team and probably don't deserve to win based on our performance, but like you said, the Refgina was the winner here.

Molinaro was actually upfield (with his marker from the previous corner kick, or making a run upfield, or just zoning out ;)) and had nothing to do with what was going on -- he wasn't even in the box when that happened. So nobody can reasonably scapegoat him for the goal.

If Legro, who was to the left of goal, was forward too, Brienza would have been clearly offside.

Who was in the center of defense for that then? Legro wasn't rushing forward to play them off to me.

Im done

This is the end

As much as I love JUVE I cant follow a League that is so full of corruption.
Without the " mistakes" against us and in favor of inter we will be fighting for the first place.

I m not going to follow calcio anymore.
The thing is after the game against Roma they need to put us on place right? Because inter is SOOOO FUCKING AFRAID OF US that they need this even when they are a million points ahead.

I m done guys

I m done with serie A

Worst part is Juve managers are not doing anything. This is WAR.

They must be making a press conference, making an scandal.
Instaed they are just talking very diplomatic.

That s it

Im over with italian football

NO , Do Not Give with such situation , I also feel so sick and tired with current Board and that idiot Coach , I won't blame the Referees for some reason but it's all our fault couldn't reacted for what those Moronic whistle corps has threated to us , look at Loosernazionale , despite they frequently received a red cards but at least they can play a better football than us ATM , Blame our Tactician , Seriously . I won't give us to Support JUVENTUS until my last breathe but with this current fucking Boring game , Tactic , bunches of Players all around the world linked with us every single day , and the F*CKING ANNOYING RESULT

Seriously , I think , we should lose for 5 games in row starting from yesterday game so we can see those idiot coach and senseless Secco could sake immediately :faq1: :faq1: :faq1:

serie a is the laughing stock of the football world. This is pathetic.
Couldn't agree more , Money rule .

We did not play a great game, especially the first half was very poor. Overall we still played way better than Reggina and deserved to win.

Belardi, 6,0: Had not much to do,rarely tested and guiltless when Brienza scored.

Grygera, 3,5: I think this was definitely the worst match of Grygera in a Juventus shirt. He was never exceptional but at least he was solid defensively in other matches. Shy offensively and shaky defensively.

Legrottaglie, 6,0: I think he had an OK game, very passionate but where the hell was he when Sissoko "fouled" Amoruso?

Chiellini, 6,0: Pretty solid with no real mistakes, but same goes for him: where the hell was he at the end?

Molinaro, DOM(Dumbass of the match) 3,5:
I blame solely him for the first goal. It would have been clearly offside, but he was dreaming when the other defenders pushed for the offside trap. Wake up. BTW he can't cross.

Nedved, 6,0: He was definitely one of the better players out there,he ran like a teenager as usual and had a good shot on goal.

Zanetti, 5,5: One of the weakest games this season, even though still better than Nocerino lately. Unfortunately lost his calm after the final whistle. We will miss him badly against the Granata.

Sissoko, MOM 6,5::toast: My man of the match. To me,he totally bossed the midfield the first 20 minutes, very aggressive and good tackles. Good short passes at times. He should have scored a goal today though. I do not blame him for his Kung Fu kick,it should have been a free kick for dangerous play, not a penalty.

Camoranesi, 6,0: I did not like the first half, but he was very passionate and showed commitment in the second half. Was amongst the better players together with Nedved and Momo. At times too much "Joga Bonito" instead of the simple things. I like his free role.

Del Piero, 5,5: Tried to open up the game with some flicks and moves, not always succesfull. He scored a lucky goal though.

Palladino, 3,5: I saw him like 3 times in the whole 90 minutes. If he doesn't step his game up,we should seriously consider to sell him and buy a better striker. He isn't just a talent anymore,he must prove his worth slowly but surely.

Salihamidzic, 4,0: He wasn't really an upgrade to Grygera.

Dondarini, 10: For being an Interista:faq1:

What concerns me most about the team are our Fullbacks. We do not have any decent fullbacks except Zebina and Chiellini. As a result I would like to see Chiellini at the left and Stendardo in the middle from now on.

Since Zanetti will be suspended against Toro I would like to see a Tiago-Sissoko partnership in the middle. The one can pass, while the other can do the dirty work. I doubt that Ranieri is clever enough to realize that though.

Thanks for the game report , Marcello .

So where's the person who said Molinaro is that GOOD :shifty:

Actually, I believe it was Legro who didn't push up for the offside trap.

Still, good ratings. :pint:

Are people now having phantom visions of Molinaro where he isn't? He was upfield for the offside trap. Scapegoat the guy when he deserves it.

Watch the replay, and you'll see what I mean. That's Legro over on the left side who is last to get back. Moli isn't even in the scene.

I saw the last half hour of the game. Sissoko was the best player on the field until he tried to scissor kick the moon. Granted the rest of the team didn't really impress, but Reggina didn't do any better. It's a shame the game was decided by the referees.

The best thing I can say about this match was that the Napoli match robbed all fans of what otherwise appeared to be a good match. This one never was a good match, and was virtually just 65 minutes Reggina trying to absorb body punches.
