Drop Trezeguet,Diego,Melo and Amauri. Swap Gio with Diego, play Poulsen instead of Melo and Iaquinta and Del Piero instead of Trez and Amauri just so the anti-brazillians can be pleased.

Can't remember a brazilian succeeded with our club. :shifty:
Thats because we don't give them chance to. People on this forum being the main culprits. Check the match threads. 'Fuck Amauri' etc etc. People even want to drop Diego for Del Piero  meh thats why I made the sarcastic post.

We may end up being joint 5th with Napoli after this round, should we lose to Parma, and both Roma and Napoli win their away games to Cagliari and Atalanta respectively :scared:

According to Gazzetta:

Manny

Caceres - Legro - Chiellini - Grosso

Sali - Melo - Marchi - De Ceglie

Diego

Trezeguet
Put Giovinco on the left and we're set.. and exchange Sali to the right so it give more defence protection for Grosso who are bad at defending. But was Gio injured in last friendly match against Ittihad? Is it serious?

About 4-4-2, i pretty much agree that our players fit this formation. In the end of last season when Ferrara took charges and gave us 2 wins, he used 4-4-2 formation. But then he pushed to use 4-3-1-2 because we already agreed to buy Diego..

I think you're right. I don't like De Ceglie there, Giovinco on the left wing with Sali on the right sounds alot better. It would be cool to have Diego kind of as a support striker as well, so the formation would look something like this: (this is my wishful formation)

--------------------Manninger---------------------
Caceres-------Legro--------Chiellini-----Grosso

Giovinco------Melo---------Poulsen-----De Ceglie

--------------------Diego--------------------------
----------------------------Trezeguet-------------

We have not got the personel to work with the 4-4-2 hence why people blast it. Andts right.
Debatable, but you could be right about that.
Sad thing is that we also do not seem to have the personnel for a 4-3-1-2, as we have already proven many times. And without a player like Camo, we also do not have the players for a 4-2-3-1.

Actually, in our current situation 4-4-2 could do us good.
This is a formation the players know very very well. They know their positions and movement in this formation, they know what to do.
While in our current formation salad (4321,4231,4411,4312) no one seems to know where to move or what his task is and Ferrara can't teach them like it seems.

So 4-4-2 could give us some stability and confidence.
Nice one, Sab . At least someone understood what I was trying to explain: when all else fails, go back to the easiest possible formation, however boring or uninspiring that may be. It's obviously not a guarantee for succes, but it would at least make life a lot more difficult for the teams that play against us.

No doubt going back to 4-4-2 is probably the easiest possible solution but the main problem is incorporating Diego into this system, and whether Ciro who already is under considerable amount of pressure is able to risk not playing him. If he does get the result then it's all justified but if not, he'll just end up getting blamed for not playing him and changing formations again. Difficult predicament.

Funny that Del Piero was forced to play out of his position and tried his best, a 35 old man who is still our best player over the last years, but Diego can't play out of his position noooooooooooo he hast to be there in the middle and everything has to be build around him and everyone should work for him:rolleyes:

Maybe it's tricky, but Diego should be able to adapt to different positions anyway.

We have been employing him as a central, attacking mid all season so far, yet there were way too many games where he ended up playing as a straightforward CM for the most part of the game. I'm sure there are a variety of reasons why he did that, but it pretty much makes the formation with an AMC useless.
