You're right, azzurri. Capello doesn't know how to use Del Piero. That's only because Capello's view on football is one with a lot of fighting, ugly football and a hell of a lot of fouls. Still, DP just isn't cocky enough, it seems. If your name is Alessandro Del Piero you should be arrogant enough to claim your place in the team whenever you play. In fact, you should let the team play how you want them to play. And so far Del Piero hasn't done that.

but i noticed it a lot , not the first time buffon always punch the ball infront of the goal , he should get it to the sides , he almost done it again but the defenders managed to shoot the ball away , i think buffon is not like he used to be , he is good in general but not the world number one anymore
no no, but we were gonna have some scoring chances.. and I think capello is getting too old... no good coach would have played with zlatan, trez and zalayeta at the same time.. in such a situation the team needs a player who can make something special, who has some creativity.. and not zalayeta...

The Bianconeri cannot take any point home against Palermo on their good day. The home side scores on their first occasion and mantains their advantage until the very end. The winning goal for Guidolin’s side occurs on 12’ minutes: Corini shoots a free kick, Buffon clears, the ball is intercepted by Brienza who taps it in from the edge of the box (12’). Guidolin’s squad tries to get dangerous particularly on place kicks, Corini’s speciality, and on Grosso’s left-wing attacks. Fabio Capello analyses the defeat in Palermo: “We gifted them the goal because of some wrong positions and not because of Buffon’s clearance; however, the game was in the balance until that time. Our opponents are very good with place kicks, especially Corini, and also with counter-attacks, that’s why the game, after the goal, turned to be more advantageous to them rather than us. We had a few good moments in the game, some worse, but unusually we were less fast on the wings.” The Bianconeri’s manager confirms he has great trust in his team: “After two defeats we’re still top of the table, I’m sure we’ll do great things”
