Zlatan: I would be really happy if you gave me an another excuse then the one you just gave me above...Dp is 30, IF you really know ENOUGH about football you would know that Dp can produce alot for the team, but i blame Capello for that, " He Doesn't Know how to Use Dp "
You're right, azzurri. Capello doesn't know how to use Del Piero. That's only because Capello's view on football is one with a lot of fighting, ugly football and a hell of a lot of fouls. Still, DP just isn't cocky enough, it seems. If your name is Alessandro Del Piero you should be arrogant enough to claim your place in the team whenever you play. In fact, you should let the team play how you want them to play. And so far Del Piero hasn't done that.

Capello = Totti
Lippi = Del Piero

That's the difference in their view on football.

TBH, I feel that the pople here tend to overreact and overdramatize things.

Relax, just cool down and think about things with a clear head. After one win the team is being hailed as the sveiours of the world, and after a loss they are being spat on. Relax people, the truthe is neithe here nor there, it is somewhere in the middle.

We do miss a lot of players, most namely Nedved, and I'm sure the coaching staff and directors know more about the situation than we do and that they are doing their best to fix things, but you have to understand that things are more complex that we might think. It's easy to be the general after the battle and point out the misstakes after they happen, but everyone, including Capello and the players, do their best. SOmetimes it just isnt enough, and that is the reality, but such is the life of every player and every football club. You win some, you lose some. But the most important thing is not to jump to extremes all the time and not to overreact, one way or the other.

Juts calm down people, the season is still long and a lot of things can still happen. Juts chill.
I'm with you here.

whatever i saw of that match definitely told me that Milan were the better team,and the other one they lost(whichever team it was) too.I admit to not watching the entire match but that was the impression i got from what i saw.
But you're wrong here Des, Livorno was superior on that day...

Anyway, here comes the off-topic part: your sig says Poets of the Fall, you mean the band?! :eek:

I think it was the deffenders responsibillity.... we had 11 player in the penalty area and none of them try to do anything to avoid an easy goal..
but i noticed it a lot , not the first time buffon always punch the ball infront of the goal , he should get it to the sides , he almost done it again but the defenders managed to shoot the ball away , i think buffon is not like he used to be , he is good in general but not the world number one anymore:(

And I suppose if Del Piero had played today he would have scored a hattrick, saved a penalty, helped an old granny get to her seat, catched Osama Bin Laden and made a chocolate cake for the players, all by himself?.
no no, but we were gonna have some scoring chances.. and I think capello is getting too old... no good coach would have played with zlatan, trez and zalayeta at the same time.. in such a situation the team needs a player who can make something special, who has some creativity.. and not zalayeta...
God, I just want to forget this evening.. I am a juve fan for over 10 years, and have never been so sad an angry like yesterday..(well, may be only after the CL-Finals we lost..)

True.... I swear by god Trezeguet has not touch the ball more than 3 times in the whole game...
not to mention our midfield players who cannt create any attacking effort...
WE NEED CREATIVITY SO BADLY :fero:

I am with you that trez did not touch the ball , but he is NOT to blame , he needs
players to create chances for him someone like totti in roma who create for cassano and montella , unfort. we dont have any , all our miffileders are defencive and no creativity at all:(

The Bianconeri cannot take any point home against Palermo on their good day. The home side scores on their first occasion and mantains their advantage until the very end. The winning goal for Guidolin’s side occurs on 12’ minutes: Corini shoots a free kick, Buffon clears, the ball is intercepted by Brienza who taps it in from the edge of the box (12’). Guidolin’s squad tries to get dangerous particularly on place kicks, Corini’s speciality, and on Grosso’s left-wing attacks. The Bianconeri make two attempts to target, both from Olivera, the first on a free kick (32’), the second from the long distance (44’). Other good occasions for Juventus come from Zambrotta’s excellent work on the left wing, where he intercepts a ball in the last minutes into the first half but it ends beyond the goal line, closed down by two opponents.

During the break, Capello replaces Birindelli with Zalayeta. In the second half, Juventus are more lively and kick off attacking: in the first minutes, Zebina and Trezeguet aim at Guardalben’s net but both efforts end beyond the goal line. Palermo return to attack on 12’ minutes with a long action into Juventus’s area that finishes with Grosso’s drive blocked by Buffon . After 15 minutes, a struggle into the Rosanero area remains vain. On 21’ minutes, the Bianconeri’s defence is worried by Brienza’s drive, cleared by Buffon, then Barone intercepts the ball and kicks it wide of the post. After 27’ minutes, Zambrotta tries a powerful left-footed shot from the distance but it misses the target. Two minutes later, Zalayeta’s cross is intercepted by Corini who nearly scores an own-goal and Guardalben deflects out into the corner. On 33’ minutes Morrone serves Santana but his lob is off target and so it is Emerson’s overhead kick. Juventus attempt again in the last few minutes of the match but cannot catch up.

Fabio Capello analyses the defeat in Palermo: “We gifted them the goal because of some wrong positions and not because of Buffon’s clearance; however, the game was in the balance until that time. Our opponents are very good with place kicks, especially Corini, and also with counter-attacks, that’s why the game, after the goal, turned to be more advantageous to them rather than us. We had a few good moments in the game, some worse, but unusually we were less fast on the wings.” The Bianconeri’s manager confirms he has great trust in his team: “After two defeats we’re still top of the table, I’m sure we’ll do great things”
