As I don't think 1 or 2 players in an entire team that was playing badly would have upped our overal performace.
Neddy's been known to drag the entire team over the finish line when the going gets tough, and coincidentally we've lost the first two matches without him.I do think he'd have gotten us a draw.

Del Piero would've made a difference in set-pieces which is where you look for points when you're not playing well. Our opportunities were plentiful tonight,3 free kicks in excellent positions which Olivera wasted horribly, and some 8 or so corners.

Erm, IMO and in the opinions of a lot of analysts, Milan were off-key against Livorno. Or was it a different match you watched?
okay i guess i didn't see enough of that one to draw a good conclusion, but what about that other match they lost?

They played better yes, but Bologna had one thing they didn't have on the night, the same thing we lacked today: determination!

Quite honestly, the whole team was useless....but this is not the issue...It is only the people who want DP to play are the ones who bash Zlatan and thanks for Trezeguet's return, he also is being blamed. I am not saying that they are playing good....the last 2 games the whole team was crap. Where is the fault, I really do not care, what I care about is to see the team perfomr better and iot won't achieve that by DP playing or by Tacchinardi playing. It will definitely not perform better if Ferrara played.

Many members are saying that Capello is destroying us.....I won't call a manager making us lead the Serie A from day 1 until now as destroying us....will we win the Scudetto, I don't know but I hope so....am I optimistic, well I am an optimistic person so I hope so and I believe that we can do it.
How can you say that Del Piero wouldn't have made a difference? None of us can say that as we don't know how he would have performed or what he may have contributed, but the fact is, both Trezeguet and Ibrahimovic were poor and DP should have replaced one of the two or Birindelli instead of Zalayeta. Regardless of our position in the league, Capello's decision making didn't impress me today.

Milan have always won their matches in more convincing fashion than we have, and I'm sure that they didn't play as badly against Livorno as we did today.

And we have the loss as proof that Capello made mistakes today.

The biggest favour he could've done us was raise the team during half time with a good scolding or however he wants to do it.he couldn't,and failed to rectify the problems the way many expected him to.

I don't think determination or a lack thereof prevented us from winning, our inability to create chances and the fact that pretty much all of our players underperformed did. The three players who were supposed to step up for us offensively - Olivera, Ibrahimovic and Trezeguet - were as poor as they have been all season long.

Nedved was seriously underperforming before he got himself injured. Nedved has had some good, yes match-winning performances in the beginning of the season. As the season went on though, he faded away more and was invisible in the last month and a half or so before he got injured.
There's no reason for me to think, that would've been different hadn't he been injured.
I can't know that though, it's purely speculation. So I'll conclude he might've made the difference.

Olivera wasted the set-pieces yes, but how many set pieces has Del Piero wasted this season? Countless of set-pieces, as he hasn't scored one so far.
I do agree though that he can still provide the team with good corners and crosses from set-pieces.

Stu, we'll just have to face the fact that Capello doesn't want Del Piero in his team. That's all.
I realised that a long time ago, and by bringing on Zalayeta as opposed to Del Piero today, Capello merely confirmed it. The only way DP will stay in Turin is if Cap leaves after this season, Ale won't spend another term under this cunt.

But if i could've chosen to raise the game of any one player today it would've been Buffon. His performance wasn't as horrible as say Trezeguet, but ultimately he cost us the points. The goal was a mistake, make no mistake about that(pun fully intended). And he failed to produce a world class save when we needed it.

watched the match out... no fighting spirit del piero wasnt the problem when we lost its the team in general .. they didnt fight hard enough.... olivera surprised me and pissed off a lot of juve players with his shots that were supposed to be crosses the players await and the horrible freekicks.... zalayeta was fighting well for the ball ....dint see much of trez.. zlatan tried but in his own dirty way...nice goal my palermo.... and luca tonis miss was unbelievable buffon stood helplessly.... newy another sad performance ... and lets hope lazio play as well as they did with roma... but ac milan close on us now and inter will be sneaking slowly as we fall and ac falls ... newy it was really upsetting tonight ... dont like watching juve lose... but wht can we do except wait and hope for better performances by the bianconeri boys .. because if they played their matches like this ones or last match with sampdoria ... who knows we might win the league but it wont be a deserved one...imo zalayeta deserves more playing time... hes improving and gives juve something in attack that the other 3 attackers dont have..... zambrotta spent soo much time in defence he didnt do well on his role in nedveds territory... cannavaro did well i guess..emerson not soo much one of his bad days probably... i could see these losses coming calcio has to be heated... it cant just end like this .. i say stay close to the competition then win the title and give them the finger then.....

ps. zambrotta19 ... how about posting another celebration thread .. i told you lets wait till we are sure..... hopefully inshallah though the title is ours this season numero 28...
good night to all and i hope the loss doesnt get to ur heads much it happens to all the clubs am sure juve will be back up soon...oeace

Actually he could.Del Piero seems to have settled in to his new role in the team, and isn't as bitter as he deserves to be.I wouldn't mind him staying and taking whatever opportunities Don Fabio might be willing to give him to prove him wrong, that certainly beats him leaving for another team.
