Thank the Lord, DP has regained his excellent form already :) Alex really did prove to be a handful for the Modena defence as his dribbling was nothing short of world-class. The sight of our captain gliding away from his markers was just what my sore eyes needed.

@Plexus: Del Piero was only OK? How can you say that? Did you not see how easily he got by those defenders? and how about his through ball for Camoranesi? Surely you saw how DP dropped deeper and took control of the game's tempo in the second half? and you noticed that he hardly gave away a ball in the second period too?

my thoughts on the game and the players:

Buffon - didn't have much to do.

Birindelli - kept possession well and put in some good crosses.

Legrottaglie - pretty solid. made some nice interceptions and headers. again proved that he's a good passer of the ball.

Montero - both he and Legrottaglie were good in my estimation. nice interceptions backed with some nice tackles.

Zambrotta - same as usual. great running up and down the wing, good assist for Trez.

Camoranesi - quite poor IMO. gave away too many balls and didn't offer the penetration that he does when on form.

Conte - not too good, but not horrible either.

Tacchinardi - good in his simple, quiet, efficient way. used his brain to help set up the first goal.

Nedved - another good performance from the Czech international. worked hard down the left flank and scored a very nice goal.

Del Piero - held the ball up well, tested the keeper, made good passes and dribbled defenders. a big improvement over his showing against Udinese. Alex is almost back to his best IMO.

Trezeguet - I must admit, I'm impressed. scored a goal and even tried to get involved in the build-up play. well done Trez.

    yesss  another win :)

I have to say, Trezeguet is probably back to his best. He is looking more self assured by the day !

and of course Nedved - theres only one Pavel !

    Forza Juve !

Does anyone agree with me that Del Piero was very good, or am I an idiot that shares this opinion with only himself?

@Iceblu: indeed, Trez seems to have reached top form :thumb:

The difference in this game came down to finishing, Juve knows how to finish off the play and score the goal. Modena couldnt hit the broad side of a barn with ANY of their shots.

Modena was aggressive and played hungry. The 2-0 scoreline doesnt exactly tell the story of the game.

Trez and Neddy were on target, while DP had some good moments, but isnt all the way back IMO

Our first goal surprised everyone, including the cameraman, who missed the goal !! Luckily, another camera showed it all.

Lippi wasnt satisfied, and neither am I !!!!!

One good chance for Ale and Balotta saves it!
Balotta was so great on that match, especially when he denied Trez first time shot!
Ale still not on his form yet, he kept the ball too long and we couldn't make counter attack in that situation. :undecide:
He didn't really satisfied with his performance too i guess, well when Lippi substituted him with Di Vaio, he didn't seem to like it.

Once again, Nedved proves that he's brilliant!:thumb:
