People are becoming too dismissive and untolerating of others' opinions.Alot of the things posted here in reply to other posts contribute little to the discussion and serve more to insult and attack the individual than contest the argument. This is becoming increasingly commonplace with the recent Del Piero-Zlatan scuffles and differing opinions are suddenly reason enough to resort to name calling and personal attacks.Posts that go "That opinion is simply retarded" or "You are a moron" don't bring anything to the table or make you seem 'cool',in my opinion at least. And one negative response usually leads to another and this often escalates into a series of cheap shots and more insults.Case in point:

That general policy probably being your retardedness. Oh well, you're ugly, stupid and you haven't got a life. Can't be bothered to argue with someone as pathetic as you. Thank god I do have a life.

The only thing you're good for is feeding the hungry. Run along now and pass out your rice bowls.

You are really an imbecile Seven, I was right about you. I watched the game myself, live, and then gave my match report before anybody else posted their's.
Dumbfvck.
There. One insult evoked another and it eventually got to a point where no conclusion could be reached-just because they held opposing views. Now watch how Graham reacts to a similar situation:

No. Because frankly, we suck. The game against Udinese was a good game, but it took us way too long to reach that level.
And btw gray, I've about had enough of your moronic attitude . I don't know why you feel you're so much better than the rest of us, but I really don't need some religion fanatic to look down on me. **** you

when did I ever act like that? Just because I don't agree with your opinions doesn't mean I think I'm better than you . Try not to take disagreements so personally, this is an internet forum and we're here to share our opinions.
What's with the personal attack btw? What has my religion got to do with my opinion of David Beckham? It really doesn't help you convey your argument when you bring completely irrelevant topics into the fold.
Instead of replying to an insult in kind as the afore mentioned pair did,Graham did the right thing by calming the air and restricting his posts to the topic at hand and far less offensive language. As you will see
here, the focal point of discussion does eventually return to football.Kudos to Graham for keeping a cool head and defusing a potentially volatile conversation.
I'm not here to preach or point fingers at anyone, but the "discussions" i've seen of late have been getting increasingly unpleasant and i hope for the good of the forum that we could all be a little accepting of others' opinions and keep our posts to football and Juve, minus the profanities and personal attacks. If we start to take arguments personally and hurl insults, chances are the recieving party will do the same, unless it happens to be a wimp like Graham
