Medical bulletin
Marchionni is undergoing thorough X-ray tests which for now haven't revealed anything pathological connected to the bone he broke back in August. Tomorrow morning more tests will be carried out to elaborate on the diagnosis.

In the last few days Buffon had suffered a severe bout of back-ache and is gradually getting better. Tomorrow his taking part in the Livorno game will be evaluated.

Salihamidzic has been following a different training schedule. The player is recovering from the muscle problem that forced him to miss the San Siro game and his condition will be evaluated in the next few days.

not possible, same for others on loan. But i know he will come in a summer
Do you mean he will come in a summer, but you don't know which one??

Anyway, We were not defeated in the last ten mathces, and Livorno was not defeated since November, so another draw will be reasonable...

And Tavano should be hit by a nice lorry before the match starts.

But then fans will accuse us of bribing the lorry driver to injure their best player so we don't have problems in defence

Buffon has back problems
Friday 25 January, 2008

Gigi Buffon may miss Juventus’ game against Livorno this weekend due to a potentially serious back problem.

The Azzurri custodian missed the Coppa Italia quarter-final first leg against Inter due to pain in his lower back, but had hoped to return for the trip to the Stadio Armando Picchi this weekend.

However, the problem seems to be getting worse and scans have revealed a disc protrusion.

Although not a serious condition in itself, a disc protrusion can lead to a hernia, which would require surgery and between one month and three months on the sidelines.

Buffon spent yesterday afternoon receiving physiotherapy and a range of massages to try and relax his back, but the only cure to the problem is rest.

While there is a chance that the former Parma shot-stopper may begin the game against Livorno, Emanuele Belardi is more likely to step in.

Meanwhile, there is cautious optimism over midfielder Marco Marchionni, who picked up a foot injury after a clash with Maxwell on Wednesday.

There had been fears that the Roman star may have broken his fifth metatarsal and could be out for the season, but it now seems that the damage is less severe.

However, a micro-fracture cannot be ruled out and that could keep Marchionni out for over a month.

What ? What the fuck can i say about this now ?

oh fuck it. So without a keeper, three of our defenders, our best midfielder all cause of injury, plus what our BOD sold/are selling, we'll end up with less squad depth than Arezzo in Serie C1

Livorno Prepare For Game Of Their Lives Against Juventus

Livorno on a run of eight consecutive positive results in the league, with new coach Giancarlo Camoranesi having pulled the team out of bottom position up to a mid-table place in Serie A.

Livorno director of sports Elio Signorelli spoke to 'Radio Kiss Kiss' about the upcoming league game against Juventus, scheduled for Sunday evening.

"Everyone is talking about this game," declared the director of sports. "We shall honour the enormous value of Claudio Ranieri's squad.

"Camolese is doing a good job - since his arrival our situation in the league has improved drastically," he continued. "Let's hope to continue like this until the end of the season."

Signorelli admitted that goalkeeper Marco Amelia could leave the club either in this transfer window or in summer.

"It will be a fundamental week for him, then we shall have to evaluate the alternatives. On the other hand, Pasquale will remain at Livorno," concluded Signorelli.
