As for Zaf....I don't think leaving Melo so far up is good because then we are using him for something different than what we bought him for. His strength is protecting the backline.
Who said he will given much of creative duties. Its just if I had to choose between him and sissoko in the center of the field I'd choose him :D .. When Marchisio returns he will fill out this position. We have so many injuries that we need to take into consideration while selecting who plays were. A compromise maybe needed.

That is said after reading Alen's post

Knowing this team, there will probably be (negative) changes till the match starts, but as things stand now:

Suspended: Grygera, Sissoko
Injured: Iaquinta, Camoranesi, Trezeguet, Poulsen, Marchisio, Salihamidzic
1 yellow away from suspension:Legrottaglie, Camoranesi, Diego, Marchisio

Available:
Gk: Buffon, Manninger, Chimenti
Rb: Zebina, Caceres
Lb: Grosso, De Ceglie
Cb: Cannavaro, Chiellini, Legrottaglie
Midfield: Candreva, Melo, De Ceglie
AM: Deigo, Giovinco
Attack: Del Piero, Amauri, Paolucci
+ Primavera kids (Marrone, Yago, Immobile)
I'd go with the following:
Buffon
Legro - Cannavaro - Chiellini
Melo
Candreva - Marrone - De Cegli
Diego
Amauri - Del Piero

I don't know if Giovinco is ready to start, if he is I'd start him ahead of Diego for this game. If not I'd try to make sure he gets his run by fielding him sometime during the game for either Del Piero or Diego. Immobile or Paolucci could start ahead of Amauri.

.................................Buffon.....................................

Caseres..........Canna................Killini...........Grosso

.................................Melo...........................

.........Candreva...........Diego...............Gio

.....................Amauri....................Del Piero.

The reasons why i would play this line up are the following:

1. Fit enough or not Gio should be enough fit for a team like Livorno

2. With Candreva and Gio on the wings there is no need for our shitty full backs to run foreword and.....well.....do nothing there. They'll just need to sit back and defend, maybe occasionally make runs.

3. With Candreva and Gio on the wings there is a possibility of playing either low passes or crosses, cause IMO they are pretty good in both, while our full backs arent good at any of these two. IMO our fullbacks' football incompetence has a major role in the bad performance of Juventus this season.

Anyways, this is what i would play and i think that with all the injuries this is our best line-up at the moment.

I'm liking your suggested formation Juve_Fanatic.

But like I said before we rather put a brick on the field than play Giovinco.

I believe Candreva is better suited on the center of the pitch, he did really well against Lazio. And I can't wait to see him against his former team, hopefully he'll score.

My formation: 4-3-2-1

Amauri

Giovinco-Diego

Marrone-Melo-Candreva

DC-Chiellini-Cannavaro-Caceres
