@Hydde: he very well might... this is the probable line-up on gazzetta.it:
----------Buffon
---Ferrara Iuliano Montero
Birindelli Maresca Appiah Zambrotta
---------Nedved
----Del Piero - Miccoli
Tacchinardi is suffering from guess what, another muscular injury, while Nedved could be a doubt as he still has a slight bout of the flu.
If this is really the line up then there would be no point in winning any corners as they are all short apart from Buffon and Iuliano but unfortunately those 2 hate crosses as well as if Buffon has a weakness apart from his inability to set up a decent wall from freekicks, it has to be with crosses whilst I have never seens any defender turn his back on crosses more than Iuliano
Don't see the continous snubbing of Davids as its becoming very stupid now
Miccolli and Dp might be on form or look like they are on form but there is noone for them to play off, not sure they can be as good as the combo of Totti and Cassano but we shall just wait and see
Instead of Dv to use this opportunity to show he is a genuine first teamer , he si showing he is useful as a sub or only when he is putting pressure on a first teamer
Now he has the mantle he has thrown it away with some sloppy displays when the team needed him most, there is no point in playing well when others are , its when you do when your team is suffering that you should play well especially if you are no first teamer
But I like him as a sub, I have never thought he was good enough to be first team striker but he does have pace and can do damage when brought on
Lecce are abysmal so I would not even bother giving props to their players, if we cannot beat Lecce then whats the point as these our gimmes, the big matches are where we slip up
Having said that , I do not like the line up
Ferrara, Montero and Iuliano is taking a step backwards to Ancellotti's era . all we need is Van Der Saar and we are complete. Iuliano thrives on 3 man defence but only when the other 2 are carrying him, like those 2 did in the past and Nesta and Cannavaro, Maldini carried him in the International stage but can anyone honestly say that Ferrara and Montero are better than Iuliano now, as I cannot
Like Phoenix, Montero worries me and Ferrara is fond of kicking ppl from behind, tougher referees might book or send him off
