An exciting match, but a boring and ugly display from both sides.
We simply lack quality in the centre of the pitch. Even the dutch commentator on my tv said that Blasi isn't juve quality. While our team is being praised for showing such determination, I couldn't help but feel we lacked a certain fire.
Our attacks were one-sided and looked helpless, Nedved and Camo had to do everything themselves though. Nedved was very poor in the first half, so all we had was Camoranesi and it wasn't by far one of his best matches this season. Bravo for Nedved's goal though, as it was a hugely releiving moment.
Zalayeta did well on the ball, but annoyed me a little, because he tried to get the ball a little too much in midfield leaving noone at all upfront to pass the ball to. Olivera deputised well enough, nothing special, we shouldn't blame any player with so little playing time though.
Pessotto doesn't look very comfortable as right-back, the role simply does not seem to suit him. Thuram was awesome yesterday and answered to his critics, after some dsimal performances the last month.
Zambrotta was a little dissapointing, allthough he was good defensively and gave his all and tried to attack, Zambrotta was disspossed easily on many occasions and seemed to have lost some of his dribbling skills.
We deserved the victory based on Lazio's negative display alone.
Anyway we still need to spice up our midfield a little, by playing a more attack based player in the centre be it Nedved, Camo or Kapo -> our midfield needs some more variety.
