Maybe but I agree with what Alen said, he was the player we needed against such an opponent and it was obvious from the amount of chances we had in the first half compared to the second.
Somebody who runs and gives his best, yes. But I didn't see anything like that from him today. I was not surprised with that sub, because he looked rather off.

Roma Coach Claudio Ranieri: We Wanted To Beat Juventus

Yeah, we saw that you clown, how many chances did they create in 2nd half?

He offered nothing, nothing but that goal. And despite the goal, I'd rate Quag higher tonight.
He offered a lot, I can't believe you fail to see that.
The problem is that he's very limited football player.

When he was subbed out I knew that our only chance will be some set piece.

Not just based on this match, I was talking overall as a player, that people think he's rather bad or average. Which is something I disagree with.
I know what you were implying and I agree with it. I was just commenting on his input tonight which still would see some people saying he sucks.

I swear I didn't see almost anything from him and I can't remember him having ball in his feet at all. Was simply a ghost to me. I did notice him when he missed that chance and the other header, when he couldn't reach the ball. Other than that...no idea, maybe I got him isolated in my head.

Positioning, that's what he offered. Iaquinta's positioning brought the best out of Quagliarella in the first half.

You're talking 45 minutes in which we were losing the midfield badly. How much more than two 100% chances and a couple of more dangerous positions do you expect to see from a striker in such conditions? You could see the difference in the 2nd half when we didn't have even the long ball option.

The problem though would be more down to us gifting them that possession and every single loose ball seemingly going their way. It was a bit surreal, actually.
