Hear this ,

In 8 matches Juve players conceeded 24 yellow cards (Zanetti 5, Nocerino 3, Nedved 3, Legrotagllie 3, Chiellini 3, Iaquinta 2, Zebina 1, Criscito 1, Trezeguet 1, Salihamidzic 1, Del Piero 1) and 3 red cards ( Nedved, Zebina, Ranieri)

In these 8 matches our opponents conceeded 19 yellow cards and 1 red card

We conceeded 3 penalty kicks and we were given 2 penalty kicks

MILAN
12 yellow cards for Milan players (all these guys got 1 YC each : Seedorf, Ambrosini, Gattuso, Jankulovski, Dida, Emerson, Inzaghi, Pirlo, Kaka, Kaladze, Gilardino, Favalli) and there were NO Red cards for Milan players

Milan's opponents got 20 yellow cards and 1 red card

Milan conceeded 0 penalty kicks and they were given 4 penalties

And yet, overall points, JUVE 17 : MILAN 10

nice post, but we have just got to accept that we just aren't going to get many favourable decisions this season! There is far too much pressure on refs of our games and it would take a strong ref to give us a penalty

The only reason he got booked was because he was angry to begin with and since he was seen in what appeared to be a midair challenge the ref gave him the card.

The commentators were amused at the referee, they kept saying that he's young and inexperienced.
He is indeed inexperienced, thankfully Del Piero and Pavel both didn't end up with one leg as they were fouled like rain.

Good thing Ranieri took off Alex though I think Pavel should have also been sub after his first unfair yellow. But anyway.

He was already in the air when the ref blowed his whistle, plus i can assure you if what Pavel did was during the game and not the end, he wouldn't have been booked for this. As it happened over 100times during the game.
Maybe ur right, but also we shouldn't foget how nervous Nedved was and maybe refferee thought that Neddy elbowed on purpose and still not to mention that Nedved didn't complained about red card. He simply lost his nerves and I kow he is a great player but something weird is happening to him, cuz he is not the old-good Neddy we all know.

IMO, if there's a chance we can fight for the Scud, It's because the likes of Pavel are in this team. He might be old, but just like the comm said he's one hell of a player.

Btw, did you like the sausage goal that was scored today?

OK, here's my match report.

Great for the win. But that's the only real positive I could take out of this match. Both clubs played way below their potential. And contrast this with the 1-0 win over Torino at the Olimpico, this next 1-0 victory there was a night-and-day contrast in ugly.

We deserved to win in better play, but we almost deserved not to in how we got lax and couldn't close it out. We should have been up 2-0 or 3-0 in the first half, and the second half was just dreadful. Players got too lazy to keep possession and create upfield, instead doing the tired thing of taking ridiculous long shots at goal and handing over possession.

Too many players got in a punchy mood on the pitch and it almost cost us points -- and I'm including the likes of Del Piero, Nedved, and Ranieri here. Where was our team leadership to get us focused on finishing off this match instead of bitching and sniping? Call their response deserved or not, in the end it only served to hurt the team -- not help it. Very disappointing behavior from these three, IMO.

Genoa sucked in the first half. Their back-passing in their own end was horrible and treacherous, and only our clumsy finishing kept us from finishing this one out in the first half. Genoa couldn't even combine more than two passes before losing possession on the offensive half -- making it easy for our dicey backline situation.

The second half saw Genoa take the majority of possession, create some chances, are require Gigi to save our asses on occasion. Our offense was marked by laziness, slowness, and an inability to look for anything more than a cheap goal.

Ratings:

Buffon - 7 - Did everything we needed. Kept his cool. Kept the team focused when captain. Great handling when we needed it. A couple of key saves. For lack of a better alternative, I'd have to say MOM.

Grygera - 6 - Put in some good crosses in the first half. A foolish header that went awry was saved by Legro and Buffon from being anything dangerous. Disappeared for almost the entire second half.

Legrottaglie - 6.5 - A minor mistake here and there, but otherwise he was solid and exactly what we needed in CB in this situation. I worry about his foul troubles. But otherwise, the guy has made me say, "Criscito who?"

Chiellini - 6.5 - Steady as a rock. A couple of reckless tackles, but otherwise made no major mistakes. He's really doing nicely in a pinch at CB again. Too bad he also offers a bit on the defensive wing too, but I'll take it. Our most trustworthy player on the back line.

Molinaro - 5.5 - I've seen him play much worse, but he could play a lot better. What I did like is that he was very cautious and careful with ball control. He didn't try to do too much himself, and he passed to a free defender whenever he got in a stick. He'll need to continue that to earn a regular role on the defense. But his marking of Papa Waigo was dreadful in the second half, and his screw-up almost cost us a goal if not for a nice Gigi save. Also didn't offer any real service deep on the wings.

Salihamidzic - 4.5 - I don't know what he was doing on the pitch, and neither did he apparently. Sky'ed over terrible shots and crosses. Added nothing to the team. Why Ranieri didn't pull him is a mystery, but he also should have given him better instructions. The man was lost out there. May as well have fielded Alena Seredova. At least then we'd have something pretty to look at during the match. Gigi would have been happy too.

Nocerino - 6.5 - So much better as a destroyer than as a right wing. Good pursuit on the ball. Dug them out. And sure, he can't cross for his life. But in that position we didn't need it.

Zanetti - 5.5 - His fine form this year seems to be hitting a low point. Where was the Zanetti from before? Not involved much, and not contributing enough.

Nedved - 6.5 - Neddy's back. OK, the week after next. Good pace, good ball pursuit, and great cross for the goal. On the downside, he let his temper and attitude hurt himself and the team. I'm surprised he waited to the last second of the match for his ticket out of this match.

Del Piero - 6.5 - Some great moves and play late in the first half. The goal was cheeky, but he made some nice footwork and runs before. On the downside, when the captain loses his cool like that, the team suffers. He needs to keep a cooler head. And his icy reaction to Ranieri subbing him was, IMO, unprofessional. He's capable of much better leadership than this. Disappointing sideshow to an otherwise decent technical game. Though he is, unfortunately, too slow these days and allows defenses to catch up too often.

Trezeguet - 6 - Few touches in any creative places in front of goal. So he had to settle for ball distribution at the post. Eh. Not bad, but this is what you get from one-touch Trez some games depending on the service.

Subs:

Palladino - 7 - When he came on the pitch, he seemed like the only player on the offensive half of the pitch who's head was still in the game. He was focused. He looked to create and make the clincher goal. But he wasn't getting much help from teammates who looked too tired or who were too busy bitching. We needed 4 of this guy out there late in the second half. Some good, constructive, and creative play while he was on.

Almiron - NR - Not on long enough/involved enough to really say one way or other.

Coach:

Ranieri - 4.5 - Team looked unprepared and unmotivated. No killer instinct to finish off the match. His presence did not add to the team's productivity. And his subs were late and, in the case of not having a plan nor a replacement for Salihamidzic - not helpful enough. The ref may have ejected him, but he may have done us a favor. :(

Yes, I agree about the confidence and add to that he was leading the line. All of a sudden in the game he took command and organized the whole line pretty well.
Legro great today, still need replacements in def in January.

Ranieri was so stubborn when Genoa controlled the game in the second half and should of brought Tiago but we won so...
After what Tiago said this week there is no way he was coming on, the guy is lucky to have even been on bench.

first of all thank God we got away with the 3 points from this game, as i said before in the fiorentina game, we are still playing like a serie B team , just accept it guys. we don't control the game anymore. we play some sort of 9-0-1 formation we every player defend as if we are playing missing 2 players. for godsake i am sorry to say this guy but even last year's team is much stronger than this team. i have been supporting juve for 15 years and this is by far the worst performance. it's time to bench Nedved, it's obvious his age is catching up, he deserved to be sent off actually he was asking for it. there is only 3 posative things in todays game.
1. 3 points.
2. Dp scored.
3. Nedved sent off so he will miss next game.

i think Buffon is really start wondering why did he signed anew contract. this team needs many changes. this team needs Mourinho

Far too early for this type of criticism. We just got promoted from Serie B, have a largely Serie B squad. As fans we agreed that this year would be hard, a season of transition. Personally I feel Ranieri is making sure we reach January & the transfer window in a strong position, with as many points as possible. This will help him & that bitch Secco to sign some new players to help us out, & then the decent football we all crave will follow. I think Ranieri is starting to notice the problems we've got, & that the summer window was pretty much a disaster. Tiago will raise some funds, as will the def prospect of Europe next season. We need to use the window to add some starters to the team, & get them bedded in for a big push next term.

Keep the faith, we will rise again.

I never thought Id write this, but Legro was our MOTM. He was awesome, making some key interceptions and generally reading the play very well.

Ranieri's subs were shit, again. Palladino should have been brought in much earlier in the game, and not for Del Piero. I would have put him in for Trezeguet, who was invisible, but we all know the nature of his game. He only had 1 good cross to him all match(Grygera, in the 1st half).

Brazzo should have come off. Tiago would have been the ideal choice, moving Nedved behind the forwards and palying Nocerino. Zanetti, Tiago. He wasn't even dressed though, which is pathetic since we could have used him late in the game when Genoa were winning the midfield. Also, taking Zanetti out was a foolish move. Yes he was on a yellow, but he has been every game, and sacrificing the defensive muscle of our midfield during a period where we were trying to hold onto the lead is foolish.

Legro, Del Piero and Nocerino were our best players, in that order.

He is, but also he can hurt team when he can't control his temper. Ranieri should substitute him as Alex, who also was on brink of his nerves. But still you need to be blind to not see that he is not playing nowhere near his best (Pavel). I mean he shows his quality but just for a moment and that's wha I think we should rest him for little (red card suspension should do enough).

Btw, I liked his goal but I would rather called him hamburger goal!

Del Piero's run to get the chip was class, he read it so well and the finish was just perfect.

I want to just mention one thing about Buffon. The commentator said something about him that I agree with a lot, it's that Buffon has not only good reflexes but he reads the situations very well. He knows what to do because he knows what will happen and thus he can control his reflexes accordingly. I think this is what makes him special.

I will agree that perhaps the best thing Ranieri did all day was sub Del Piero. Not for his play, but rather for how his combative nature on the pitch was becoming counterproductive and risking an ejection.

MATCH REPORT...

I just want to highlight one thing: WE ARE CHEATERS.. WE BRIBE REFS TO FAVOUR US. WE FIX AND ARRANGE YELLOW/RED CARDS.. WE MATCH FIX..
huh..

The formation we came on with was very good. Well balanced, with lots of respect to the opponant.
First half: We put alot of pressure on Genoa. They did not attack except in two occasions over 45 min and both were less than 15s each. So good pressure. We wasted few chances we should've scored. We were abit in a hurry to grab a goal.
The goal was just pure magic, a wonderful cross from Nedved and an astonishing fnish by our Captain.
The second half, our pace dropped but we were still ok. Genoa pushed more. Our players were tackled so hard many times and the ref was simply either not there or at best senarios award a FK without a yellow card.

The tackles were alot on Del Piero and ref wasn't really doing much till alex lost it. Then Nedved was brought down few times without the ref being calling anything.
Then 4 incidence at the last 10 min were terrible.
1- A throw in for us was shockingly called a foul against us palladino.
2- Ranieri gets a straight red card with replays showing he only complained, nothing serious.
3- Nedved was sliding to get the ball, the player pushed it. Nedved clearly tried and successded in avoiding hitting the player. The ref, Foul and yellow card to nedved.
4- The ref calls the game while nedved is in the air trying to hit the ball with his head. After the ref whistled by nano seconds nedved bangs on a player who was also trying to reach to the ball (NOT HIT HIM like some claim)... The ref awards nedved a straight red. It was barely a foul if the game hadn't ended.

The result is.. Ranieri and Nedved might face chanrges by the fenderation that could suspend them from playing against Inter.. I wouldn't be surprised if that happens.

Ratings:

Buffon: Kept a clean sheet although they were a couple of chances for Genoa that needed his marvelous intervention. 7
Grygera: Made few mistakes at the back. Assisted the front pretty well. 6
Legro: A very good game. Solid and confident.. Keep it Legro 7
Chiellini: Wonderful game. STRONG AS A ROCK. Did not give the opponents any space. 7
Molinaro: Made some terrible mistakes which Buffon covered well. Otherwise good effort. 6
Salihamidzic: Good start, then his pace dropped. 6
Zanetti: Kept our midfield clean Buffered well all their attacks. Very good job. 6.5
Nocerino: Another good game by our worior. 6.5
Nedved: Not to be blamed for the ref's crap. Was one of our best men out there. 7.5
Del Piero: In my opinion he was our MOM. I agree with Ranieri for taking him off the field. He was getting nervous and could've been injured with their terrible tackles. 7.5 MOM.
Trezeguet: Didn't move well today. Expected more from him 5.5

Palladino: Did everything Ranieri asked from him and even more I am sure. 7
Almiron: Solid no mistakes 6

Ranieri: 7 Good tactics. I agree for not brining Palladino in for Salihamidiz. our defence was going to suffer alot, especially that Grygera wasn't having the best of matches defensively. His red card is a big mistory, but appears like its another crap thrown at our face..

The media wil definately not discuss how the ref was terrible, they will onlu point out on how the match was full of tenssion and how Juventus and their coach are bunch of street boys that the ref needed to send both Ranieri and Nedved of the pitch. Will this be any surprise to us? no? Actually I might start writing their headlines, maybe I might be able to make it even more creative.
