:agree:

Until we see Tiago play all we can do is speculate why Ranieri isn't giving him a chance, but we can't know for sure why isn't the guy playing.

On Sunday Ranieri was asked about Tiago and his answer was kind of reserved. He didn't say a bad word about Tiago but he wasn't praising him either. It was a diplomatic answer. Then Fabio Capello saw Ranieri struggling with the answer and he tried to save him by entering the discussion and sayin " Coaches like me and Claudio often get this same question and we always have the same answer : Why aren't you playing player x ? Because i want to win, that's why ! "
Then they both burst into laughter.

So i wonder if that's the reason why Ranieri isn't playing Tiago. The other guys in his position are doing good and Juve is winning more than planned. Maybe Ranieri is satisfied with this situation and he doesn't want to change anything. Or maybe there is something else going on between Ranieri and Tiago.
Like i said, we can only speculate for now.
Zanetti & Nocerino are doing a great job so far.
But look at Almiron he keeps givin bad or average performences match after match & Tiago dont even get the chance to play as a sub.
I am not asking Ranieri to play him evry game,I am asking him just to give the guy a chance evry now & then to prove himself & if he didnt, then sell him in January right awy before his price decline even more.

Anyway,I know Tiago's potential & thats why I am so pissed off about thsi.
I think we r wasting a great player who can add a lot to our team.

Cheer up Juve per sempre,he might start after all. :p

Tiago Set For Empoli Start?

Tiago Mendes may be given a chance to resurrect his disastrous Juventus career as rumours persist that he will start tonight’s match with Empoli.

The Bianconeri go into the game at the Stadio Olimpico with a host of problems in midfield.

Antonio Nocerino and Pavel Nedved are suspended, while Marco Marchionni and Mauro Camoranesi are only just returning from injured spells on the sidelines.

Juve boss Claudio Ranieri may deem it too risky to play both Marchionni and Camoranesi from the start, which will thus paves the way open for Tiago.

Alternatively the Tinkerman may decide to unleash an attacking 4-3-3 formation, a system that should suit the Portuguese international.

“Tiago is among those called up for the game,” confirmed Ranieri.

“We will have to evaluate the situation carefully, as Empoli put in a great performance to defeat Milan and did not deserve to lose against Atalanta.

“Will I use the trident attack? I do not know yet – I will decide this on the night of the match.”

Tiago has made just one start for Juventus since his £9.2m move from Lyon in the summer, and he seems almost certain to leave Turin during the January transfer window.

I hope so....!
But whether Tiago plays or not, whats important is the 3 points,I dont feel good about this match.
Our players need to really focus on this match & only this match.
If they went into the pitch thinking about the Napoli's disaster or the Inter match on Sunday, this match could end in a bad way.

Forza Juve

a lil off topic, a question to native Italian speakers:

is the word "Juventus" masculine or feminine? and "Juve"?

Il Juventus or La Juventus? Il Juve or La Juve?

Giovinco said he'd like to score a goal against Buffon! "But it won't be easy to get past the GK of the NT" he continued.

Lol, no, he really said it.
Capello was in the mood and he was joking with everybody. He started joking with Teo Teocoli, who is a huge Milan fan, about Milan-Inter and with Teocoli;s statement from few weeks that Milan will win serie A, and he then continued joking with everybody during the show.

hehe :D

BTW Just for the record, Juventus means Youth in Latin. (for those who lived under the stone the past 110 years). Juventas was the name of a Roman godess of young men. The coolest FC name ever!
You know, I used to think so myself, but you've managed to make it totally gay now. Damn you.
