While I'm not Vinman (although I play him on TV), you can always look here in these essential Matches threads:

I know of no pay services for watching the Juve games online. Although there have been experiments in the past with the now-defunct SoccerAge.com and Parma, etc.
Dang it....I'll have to hope for Telemundo and ESPN, then.:frown:

...or knuckle under and get GolTV or RAI Int'l. (Whom both should be covering this match, btw.)

ESPN en Espanol has a lot of great games but isn't necessarily easy for gringos to get their hands on. They actually bother to show the many CL games when ESPN2 is otherwise showing competitive sheep shearing.

Well, after an incredibly short summer, seemingly, another stagione is upon us. Expectations are high once again with the squad and staff we are privledged enough to have, and the best way to start off a new campaign is with a convincing win.

After reading most of Tim Park's book "A Season With Verona," he has transformed me into a "Flying Donkey" hater....he describes a club that was born without much of a fanbase, as 99% of Veronese supposedly support the Gialloblu of Hellas. Chievo was supposedly established because money and player power can make any project work, and as Parks alludes, Chievo is just evidence that a healthy fanbase is no longer needed to form a successful and profitable club, or more commonly, just an average club.

Chievo is perhaps one of the most loathsome clubs I have ever read about. And even though the fanbase we have in the stands of the Delle Alpi is not always the most packed and numerous, we have thousands of other supporters throughout the world who protest every call, celebrate every goal, loathe every player who does us wrong, suffer through every loss, and yell before every match FORZA JUVE just as I will do in a few days time. No matter what anybody says, we are indeed true supporters of Juventus.

And with this support, let us thrash Chievo and make them look like the puppet club they are.

I don't know much about the background and history of the Flying Donkeys myself....interesting. Tim Parks' book is one of the top ones on my list of "wanted to read for the past 3 years, but haven't gotten around to it yet". I'll definitely have to soon.

...Well, after I finish How Soccer Explains the World. :D

Buffon made a terrible error in our first ever game vs Chievo in Serie A and I hope Chimenti/Abbiati wont repeat the same mistakes.

Hmm. Juventus.com is pretty confident we'll win though.

well they have a good coach, i recall they had a good team in the last few years. They always give us a hard time in their games.

I would like to see the three man attack. Any combination up front but three ppl is the most important thing

I prefer the 4-4-2,

I was satisfied with how we played in central midfield against Inter, Vieira Emerson rocks.
Too bad we couldn't finish.

I'd like to see the same formation but Zlatan-Mutu upfront instead of Trezeguet.

IMO opinion ther´s a 99% probability that we will play 4-4-2
But i don´t think Zlatan_Mutu is the No1 combination cause no one of them is a striker at 100%, like Trez for example.

I vote for Mutu at midfield as a trequartista.

I think you are the first person I've ever encountered who's had something bad to say about Chievo.

Looks like I have to re-read "A Season with Verona", because I remember very little mention about Chievo in the book.

In 10 previous matches with Chievo, Juventus has won 9 of them and tied one.

In the corresponding match last season, Juventus won 3-0 on goals from Zalayeta, Nedved and Ibrahimovic.
