From what I have seen he should be benched straight away as he serves absolutely no purpose. If you see a player chasing another playing that is running with the ball and cannot get anywhere near that player then whats the point?
Almiron serves the same purpose as Xabi Alonso, Xavi or Andrea Pirlo. In spite of his supposed terrible performance, I still think we need him in the side as I certainly do not want to revert back to that inane two-defensive midfielder system. Almiron looked great against Livorno so there's no reason to believe that he serves no purpose in my opinion.

As John Barnes said on the 'Five' commentary several times, there isn't sufficient pace and energy to move the ball forward quick enough.

The build ups were ponderous. Udinese looked more dangerous on the break.

Ranieri will have to adopt a more fluid playing style in the Roma encounter.

well thanks for the reports guys and from the reports and the highlights it seems like we improved bit on the Calgiari game. But on the other hand a team on with a bit more quality and we couldn't break them down to get a goal.

One matter thats really concerning to me is the fact that Ranieri did not learn from the previous games. IT was really obvious that there was something really wrong in the center of the midfield in both the livorno and especially the Calgiari game but nothing was done.
Also i dont know why he insists on playing Nocerino on the wing instead of palladino who played there time and time again even in a 442 formation. This is a big point as antonio may he have been decent but hes certainly not up to par in that position.

We need some change tactically to inject some pace into the team. The obviously needs that and its up to Ranieri to figure it out.

And what the hell was biri doing on the goal, he played the player on side when everyone was pushing up and played the player offside. ROOKIE mistakes like this will just destroy us this season.

Its a good reality check for the team so they can wise up in time for the Roma game!

He may serve the same purpise as those guys but he is nowhere as good as any of them.

Now you might excuse any of those guys being lazy and not having that much energy because they bring creativity to the dance.

Almiron so far has done nothing in all the games I have seen, and even in the preseason games he was not that good, he was just different from the pther ponderous midfielders we have that is why he looked impressive.

Against Livorno he was average and against Cagliari and Udinese he was bad.

Who said anything about playing 2 dms, why not Tiago, he is the better of the 2 evils right now as personally it would never have occured to me to even contemplate either player at Juve, but they are here so we have to play 1 or both and right now I would play Tiago

Like Sateeh said Nocerino has no business playing on the wing as he looks completely lost.

He could provide the enrgy we need in center of midfield cos right now we are way too weak in that department

I actually thought I was going to come here and tell everyone how happy I was with our performance...how we are the most attacking and most exciting team in serie A so far this season......then in the 30th minute, Camo got injured :frown:

From the moment that Camo was replaced, we became a different team. Almiron no longer was effective, we lost pace, and we found out once again that Nocerino cant be a winger because he cant cross the damn ball !!

Once again, a total defensive breakdown led to Udinese's goal. Are we going to collapse like this once every game, or can we expect it to happen multiple times in games against strong teams like Roma, Milan, and Inter ??

RUINeri conceeded defeat in the 60th minute when he "sent in the clowns" named Iaquinta and Tiago. Not only did he take a real big risk by making all 3 substitutions by the 60th minute, but the icing on the cake was taking out the lethal Trez for the feeble Iaquinta...it wasnt going to work, and the scorline proves it

It was painful to watch Nocerino on the right side, and if that idiot RUINeri was smart he would have put Tiago on the wing, and move Nocerino back to his natural spot in the middle...whether anyone wants to admit it or not, Nocerino is more effective than Tiago in the center of the pitch...and lets not talk about all the money we wasted on an average player from Portugal, when we could have gotten the same from Italy for a lot less money

Again, there are too many teams better than Juve right now, and fourth place may have to wait for another season, with a new coach

Buffon 6: left hanging to dry by the defense on the goal...was decent otherwise

Birindelli 5.5: kept Di Natale quiet for the first half, but his lack of speed will always haunt us

Andrade 5.5: was ok when he wasnt pushing up so much, where was he when the goal was scored ??

Criscito 5.5: the defense collapsed on the goal and he wasnt around to help

Chiellini 6: our best defender of the day, but that isnt saying too much

Camoranesi 6.5: pace and skill-made everyone around him better players, his injury hurt everyone (including us :frown: )

Zanetti: 6: controlled the middle well, so tinkerman subbed him out :(

Almiron 4: worked well with Camo.. must have been subbed off with him :faq2:

Nedved 6: never stopped running, gave his all, and missed a great opportunity to put us on the board

Del Piero 6: another guy who gave his all, but all he could muster was 3 posts

Trezeguet 6: our biggest threat to score, but wasnt given the chance

Nocerino 5: TERRIBLE crosses...can I fault him for playing out of postion ??

Tiago 5: biggest waste of money in Serie A

Iaquinta 5: cannot fill Trez's shoes up top, did very little

RUINeri 4: awful substitutions, players playing out of position, hasnt figured out what to do with the problems in defense. Abromovich took over Chelsea with the sole intent of winning, and for that reason ALONE, he sacked RUINeri....

We will have to do the same
You're such a wanker. You know, I agree with pretty much everything you say about football, but stop acting like a drama queen FFS. The namecalling and the capitals make you look like a baboon.

Tiago's quality. He's not playing well at the moment, but everyone has a lesser period in the season. What I would have done was play Palladino. This guy really deserves his chance.

We're pretty much screwed now Camoranesi's injured. That much is true.

I just don't understand what people like you see in Tiago, Seven. It makes sense to give him a chance and see if he comes good when you consider what we paid for him, who our other options are, and how poor Almiron has been so far but what exactly makes this guy quality? He's an average player. He was average at Chelsea and he played well at Lyon because he was in the best team in a shite league with two great players next to him.

I pray he proves me, Vinman and denco wrong.

Did U really watched the Match?
Chiellini our best defender:shocked: !
The guy was alongside Almiron the worst player on the pitch,he was the laziest defender I've ever seen in a football match.
Every time he went forward,he returned back walking & left the CB suffering at back, even Birindelli was better than him.
Criscito was Very solid,& the goal wasnt a defence collapse,Andrade came forward to put Di Natale in the offside trap & Criscito with a very fast reflex saw him & came forward too & Di Natale was left offside by 2 meters, there left wing ranvery fast from the left & Nocerino ran after him but he was too late, actually the onlymistake Andrade & Criscito did in this ball is that after putting Di Natale in the offside trap, one of them should have ran directly to the guy who had the ball.
Di Natale wasnt offside at all as some people say,it was a Clear Goal.
Also Iaquinta & Tiago tried to do everything they can in the 30 min. they played & trust me Tiago will 100% start against Roma.
I must agree on one thing, why the fuck taking Trezy & Zanetti OUT,he could've put Tiago instead of Almiron,Birindelli or even Chiellini,we r losing at home against Udinise & he is still playing it Safe Cmonnn.

He will,I know He is a very good player but so far he has done nothing with Juve.
I am 100% sure he will start against Roma & I hope he will stand up & show his qualities when it matters.
Forza Tiago

Any news on Camo's injury?
Camoranesi Out For Up To Two Months

Juventus have been rocked by the news that influential midfielder Mauro Camoranesi could be out injured for up to two months.

The wing-wizard was only starting his first game of the season for the Bianconeri against Udinese yesterday afternoon, but limped off after half-an-hour with a muscle injury.

Tests on Tuesday will determine whether the injury is a strain or a tear but if it is the latter then Camoranesi is likely to require a couple of months to recover.

“We will take a look at Mauro on Tuesday, when all the necessary examinations will be done. Unfortunately, it will not be resolved in a week,” said Juventus medical doctor Riccardo Agricola.

President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli was also downbeat after hearing news of Camoranesi’s injury: “The biggest regret in losing Camoranesi is that he was one of the best players on the field. I fear that we could be without him for several weeks.”

The Argentinean-born midfielder had been in fine form against Udinese yesterday afternoon before his injury as Juventus dominated the early stages of the game. However La Vecchia Signora seemed to lose their way after Camoranesi’s departure and Antinio Di Natale’s 47th minute goal handed Udinese a surprise 1-0 victory at the Stadio Olimpico.

That's bad. That means that he won't kill Fiorentina as he did two years ago, and won't play the derby, Napoli and Inter. He's a key player to us, hope that Brazzo will do fine
