I dont think Nedved got us in the CL final almost all alone diving,
because diving isnt efficient or constructive at all,
he got as there running forward despite having 2-3 players were on his tale,
diving just wastes some time,
i agree that comparing to the other Juve players he might be the master diver,
but its his position too that asks for it,
he is a very faster winger, nearly unstoppable,
its normal that his opponents can bring him down and make him loose his balance comparing to a defender,DM etc
but IMO Inzaghi (proffesional diver), DP (too weak) dived much more often than he did, though he is not a diver like super Pippo that may fall down without even a touch and he isnt whining like Totti after it,
u ppl have to see the Mexico NT to see what divers mean...

I wonder what this forum must have looked like 10 years ago when DP drove Baggio out of Juve. Was the Baggio (equivlient of DP lovers now) lovers and DP lovers (Zlatan lovers) fightning like this too?

Will I ever read a match thread without the DP vs Zlatan sub-pretext? :D

Damn.
i think this vs thing is just stupid....

i mean we could say something like, well ibra isnt scoring so bench him...but same time trez scores often and ibra makes assists....

ibra and dp are too differant players to compare them....both good in own way....

we did the most important:the 3 points(dont mind about the offside, referees mistakes r part of the game)
about the performances:
buffon:hadnt a lot to do.tested one time and failed.
i hope he will be in form for the match against inter.
cannavaro:a good game as usual without mistakes.
saved us with his big experience after buffon's mistake.
thuram:also did a good game except some bad releases in the first half.
balzaretti:a promising young player.
offensively he did good crosses, but defensively i still cant judge him,he didnt play against tough teams.
zambrotta:a very good second half.great crosses and assists for the attackers neutralized candela and did one of his best matches.he did just one mistake making a bad release in the center that provoked the offside goal.
nedved:played a good game defensively and offensively except some bad passes.
did a great shot in the first half.
camoranesi:was the best player in the midfield before his replacement.
did good passes,moved a lot.
emerson:he played a good game.did his work breaking the few udinese attacks.he was not slow in his passes today .his interventions were very clean.
mutu:he tried a lot but didnt had a lot of space.
zlatan:a very average game.the first half wasnt bad but i had the impression that he wasnt interseted in the game in the second half.had a lot of missed passes.
i've never doubt about his capacities but i doubt about his return in form.
i think that he hasnt the mentality to return in form,he must be helped by all the fans and his teammates.
one average half and a wasted chance was enough to upset him during the second half.
trezeguet:wasnt very good served, has a chance and wasted it so he hadnt a good game also.
del piero:played a good game,scored a good goal.
i hope he will continue at this form.
it was good to see a diamond formation in the midfield but i didnt understand why nedved played at right, camo behind the attackers and mutu at left.
i think it would have been better to put mutu behind attackers, nedved at left and camo at right.
i didnt understand also why replacing alex by camo and not zlatan or trez.
about the red card i think it was fair.

Well, no need to bang the walls here. He has a point. Looking at his history overall, with every single club he managed, NOBODY can claim that he is overrated. After all, they are on their own league along with Trapattoni and Sacchi. With Juve? Well, that's an another thing, but the facts so far speak for themselves, I'd love to agree with you because of my deep dislike towards him, but it's simply not possible considering the facts...
Capello is overrated in Europe so both sides have points. I would have no qualms if Capello were to be sacked immediately. Infact, I would be ecstatic.

If anybody wants to see a good post on the current situation, take a look at denco's.

well i saw the game almoust from the start and we played better in the first half. But udi GK was playing very well today.....

But why we had problems after they had a player sent off

Second half our performance wasnt as good as in the first half...

In the first half we greated much had some good shots on goal....some wondersaves from de Sanctis....nedved had a cracking shot to top corner what gk saved....trez also looked more lively in the first half, chasing the ball not only waiting....

Second half we didnt play well, we had one man more and still we had problems....

i also think too many attacking players played...and dp goal was nothing special...we had ibra, trez, mutu, neddy and cap put dp in for camo....

best players imo where actually zambrotta(very lively today) cannavaro who saved us from considing a goal and nedved....

Imo we where missing vieira...though emerson had a pretty good game also...well we played like this in the midfield mutu-emo-camo-neddy...
and obviously emo was the one who had to do the hard work....

cap put in gianni (DM) when we had finaly scored in 70 minute and took out mutu then....

I think our players where too confident about winning after half time(udi player was sent off 8 minutes before HT)...well i dont know what cap said to them but i guess many thought that we will win definetly....atleast that i saw from the game....

we even started to play 3 men in defens(balza, canna and thuram) and zambro came often forward...actually he was one of the best players and active, but 3 men defens even against 10 men is dangerous...(VIDIGAL BREAKING INTO THE BOX!! CHIPS IT UP AND OVER BUFFON!! OPEN GOAL!! CANNAVARO!! Somehow smuggles in to head behind...)

About udi disallowed goal, eurosport says this: Juventus-Udinese 21' Iaquinta raiding up the middle...TURNS THE JUVE DEFENCE INSIDE OUT! RUNS FOR DI NATALE!! WHO FINISHES! But yes, the flag is up...it won't count, and that was a good decision.)

Imo Di natale wasnt offside but some other udi players where and he shot to goal(imo then goal is allowed or now isnt? though i have seen sometimes they allow sometimes not, i guess depends on ref, but the one who scored wasnt offside...

Our goal was offside...

Not much to worry still, because in the first half we created many chanses, just udi GK was having a very good game....

About muntari red card...he made a mistake just before and got yellow...the second mistake on nedved looked dangerous, atleast neddy looked to be on pain...he was sent of 37 minute in first half...

still we had problems to score....we had plenty of time and we should have scored more then one....

---

And when we had scored our players(forwards) already looked like this game is over and didnt do much....zambro run to forward and hit some passes but it looked like our forwards had no interest anymore.....
yes usual cap tactic but what was all that talk about trez wants to be topscorer....

though ibra almoust scored before FT the second one...but only almoust...

eurosport: Ibrahimovic with half a chance down the left....TOO MUCH PACE FOR ZAPATA!! FIRES....WIDE!! Really should have gone for the far corner but went for the near post and was always going to struggle.

---

Imo MOM was zambrotta...

Good post i also think the same,:agree:
it might have been wiser,
but as long as we didnt loose the game, according to some members, Cap does everything perfect:disagree:
the red card was unfair because although a taclin from behind it was on the ball,
but many refs give them and have no second thoughts for the red card ( Collina on Davids :D )
and the fact that he did smth similar a litle earlier didnt help

but isnt it annoying that there is no reason to sack capello? i mean we're the cl playoffs as winners of the group, defending champions of italy and going for a second title on record breaking pace. god gotta hate capello :D

I gotta side with my Lugan blood brother here. I know there are many juventini who would delight in seeing Capello axed and replaced. I can only imagine how much we'd run someone out of town and burn them at the stake if they didn't lead the campionato by 8 points and finished first in their CL group.

Actually, I think this is a problem with Serie A in general right now. It suffers from coaching myopia and a revolving door at almost every club.

Let's look at the reigning kings of tenure of the 20 Serie A coaching positions:

1. Carlo Ancelotti - Milan - Nov 2001
2. Walter Novellino - Sampdoria - June 2002
3. Bartolo Mutti - Messina - Sept 2003
4. Fabio Capello - Juve - May 2004
5. Marco Giampaolo - Ascoli - June 2004
Mario Somma - Empoli - June 2004
Walter Mazzarri - Reggina - June 2004

To even think that Capello is the fourth most tenured coach in his current role in Serie A is ridiculous, IMO. He hasn't even completed his second season with us yet. And here we want to sack the guy.

Talk about short attention spans and doing window dressing to address club problems. Sure, Capello has his flaws like all coaches. But this league in general has a legitimate sickness in terms of its lack of commitment and its tendency to use coaches as the fall guys for poor performance. Coaches don't add that much to a good squad, or a bad one, but they seem the easiest to replace. But I don't see this kind of churn (and encouraging it -- particularly in the face of successes) as anything short of busywork that ultimate matters little in the end.

Serie A changes coaches like some people change underwear. I cannot see this as a good long term strategy for the competitiveness of Serie A teams, and their players, on a European or world stage.

Zlatan was crap in this game and he has been crap for a long time. Zlatan fans , shut up already and move on. This is not Zlatan's football club and its sickening to read too many comments on a player who is going thru a terrible patch. Personnaly i would have dropped him but the problem with that , is he is just as useless when he comes on as a sub unlike DP who is likely to do some damage coming on as a sub. Its not even fun reading posts on this forum anymore polluted by rubbish about Zlatan this Zlatan that, its disgusting and BORING.Zlatan fans if you do not like this post well tough shite as i do not give a crap cos u have completely downgraded this forum and thats unforgiveable. Always defending the indefensible and boring us shitless in the process without anything insightful to say

Capello and his favourites, he came and said crap about being a coach with untouchables in his side but we all know thats horseshit. Zlatan, Trez, Thuram, Nedved, Emerson and Vieira are his untouchables and his scapegoats are Dp, Camo, Mutu and Balzaretti where when anything goes wrong he drops them or subs them.
We play such attacking play against Ascoli last week with Dp and Trez playing very well but what does he do, he brings his fave into the fray ie Zlatan who then proceeds to act like this was a practice session with flicks and tricks that were going nowhere and almost complete lack of effort.
Nedved for me was abysmal but he finished the game whilst Camo and Mutu were subbed. Once Zebina comes back Balzaretti gets the chop.

Again the big teams get the decisions as Dp was offside and Cannavaro got away with it whilst Roma called Nedved an instigator last week and u can see why with his disgraceful behaviour getting Muntari sent off. He is a diver and has always been, but then he was inspirational so we could forgive him now he is just a nuisance.

Capello decided to play a more creative player with Emerson but of cos he will fook up, why not play Nedved there and Camo on the right, no he gets it ass about head and we just looked foolish out there.

Buffon : Not a lot to do 5.5
Zambrotta: was the best player as he went up and down and provided our only drive 7
Thuram: didnt have a lot to do but he will be better placed to concentrate on the game instead of arguing with officials as if not for Cannavaro we would have drawn the game 5.5
Cannavaro : if not for his last ditch tackle id have given same mark as Thuram as he didnt have a lot to do 6
Emerson@ did his usual job 6
Camoranesi: Out of position completely and when he went to the wing he did put in a telling cross 5.5
Balzaretti: started off brightly but his crosses were very poor 5.5
Nedved: he was just poor and apart from a good shot he continually gave the ball away 5
Mutu: tried his best and was even asked to play as Emo's partner, how bizarre 5.5
Zlatan: Not in good form at all 5
Trez: Not involved as he was laast week and didnt really have too many chances 5.5
Dp: scored a goal, hit a good free kick was catalyst for our better plays but expect to be on the bench agaist Parma 6

Denco is correct on all points.

Zlatan had a good first year in Serie A, but teams know how to handle him now....

His shots are poor...his passing (when he decides to) is worse...and his decision-making is feeble

I cannot understand why an in-form DP didnt start over Zlatan.

AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED, DP SAVED CRAP'S ASS ONCE AGAIN !!!!!

Crap decides put Camo in the middle, and put Neddy and Mutu on the wings. I'm no mathmetician, but that makes 3 PLAYERS PLAYING OUT OF POSITION !!! Its no wonder why we looked so poor during many parts of the game.

Neddy showed some promise (when he wasnt diving) when he was in the center of the park, getting a few good shots on net.

We need to keep Camo on the wing, put Neddy in the center, and give Mutu a chance up top...because I think he can be better than Zlatan

another thing that puzzled me was when DP came in, and Crap puts him on the left wing....it was no trident attack, as Channel4 claimed. DP once again defied Caps rules and went to the front of the net, WHERE HE BELONGS !!! (never mind that the goal was offsides !!:D )

ratings-

Buffon : not too busy 6

Zambrotta: good, but I still like him on the left 6.5

Thuram: not bad, but I'm concerned 6

Cannavaro : almost gave one up, but good recovery 6

Emerson: played well 6

Camoranesi: played out of position for most of his day, and it showed 5.5

Balzaretti: definitely not Zamby with those crosses 5.5

Nedved: better in the center, not good on the wing 5.5

Mutu: out of position again 5.5

Zlatan: see above 4.5

Trez: no service...but what do you expect when 3 guys are playing out of position ??? 5.5

Dp: MOM...great passes, good finish...he is in tremendous form !!! If he keeps up like this, he will get a call from Lippi !!! 7

Crap : see above 4

before I forget.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENCO !!!!
