The Davids thing isnt an excuse, Lippi and co. thought Appiah could and was ready to replace Davids, and the sad truth is that he cannot. Although Appiah was good in be beginning of the season, with Davids on the bench, but since the Davids left our defence has been worse than ever and Appiah hasnt really done anything.
