Roma to unleash trident Wednesday 27 October, 2004

Roma boss Gigi Del Neri has confirmed that Antonio Cassano will start in a three-man attack against Juventus.
Many expected the tactician to field a more stable 4-4-2 at the League leaders but the Giallorossi are seemingly going for the three points in Turin on Thursday.
"I always look to pick players who are in good form," said the tactician. "I like the look of Cassano, Francesco Totti and Vincenzo Montella right now, so they will all play.
"I can’t permit myself to leave out players who have the ability to make a difference to my side.
"Montella is the League’s top scorer, Totti is very important for us, while Cassano has improved and will be needed in Turin."
There were some doubts over Cassano’s presence given that he has been training on his own recently, officially in a bid to find his best form according to the club.
"I decided to recall Cassano to the team on Sunday night," revealed Del Neri. "I need an element who can offer us the threat of speed and surprise."
Juventus have made a solid start to the season after dropping just two points so far and conceding only two goals.
"They are a powerful team, balanced and very strong," noted the tactician. "Fabio Capello is a Coach whose sides are always well structured from defence to attack.
"Juventus are good in every department and that is why I fear no player in particular but their side as a whole."
Del Neri admitted that he had a few doubts to resolve given that Daniele De Rossi and Traianos Dellas are concerns due to fitness.
"We must be competitive in midfield," he added. "That is where the game will be won. They have Emerson who we know well but we have a chance if we can remain compact.
"But we will also worry them seeing as we have Totti, Cassano and Montella in our side."
