I know it is early ,but someone must start the thread anyway .After the draw with lecce there is no way to loose any more points know ,juve must win all the coming games and lippi must play only players that are 100% ready.

ya, hope davids stay with juventus.......
i read in the news paper that lippi changed his formation tactic, he was playing 4-2-1-3, and then he changed it to 4-3-1-2, so i guess this change caused the recent problems........but lets hope the team will do well in the future matches.

btw, the lippi used the 4-3-1-2 tactic in 1996, the year when juve won the CL.

I think we should play with the 3-4-1-2, but with Thuram! We have to see, if he can organize the three man defense better. Also I am looking forward to see Tacchi again, as he is fundamental for this team, like we saw against Lecce, where he and Nedved couldn't play!
Perugia have a very bad season, and I hope we can start with a clear win, so we get our team-spirit back, and copy last season, where we also where 3rd or so, and got the scudetto in the end!

My prediction:

Juve 4 - 0 Perugia

My formation:

---------------------Buffon---------------------------
--------Thuram---Ferrara---Legrottaglie---------
Birindelli---Maresca---Tacchinardi---Zambrotta
--------------------Nedved---------------------------
-----------Trezeguet---Del Piero-------------------

I don't know if Legro is fit, but I would give him a chance! He will get back at his best soon, I pray for that!

thats good reymysterio, but i believe that juve needs thuram in the central defense to get advantage of his speed and good fitness......(like when he played against barcelona in the 1/4 finals in the CL last season)

I agree with A_LAcki. The 3-4-1-2 system must be tried with Thuram in the line-up. The three man defence didn't work against Lecce because there was no pace whatsoever. With LT in the team I think that things may change for the better.

Buffon - Thuram, Ferrara, Legrottaglie - Birindelli, Maresca, Tacchinardi, Zambrotta - Nedved - Del Piero, Trezeguet

Have you ppl learned ANYTHING so far this season, or are you just pleasured by pain ?????

THE 3 MAN DEFENSE WILL NOT WORK !!!!!

I dont care if Thuram's in there, he's not exactly looking his best this season.

And look who would be playing in the back 3 with him....

CASE CLOSED !!!!!!!!

Looks interesting with Davids, Enzo, Micco, Neddy and DP all in the line-up, but won't work because Zambrotta can't play in a back three.

these formations look good, but one suggestion to the ones with camo, put miccoli instead, hes on better form ;)
Micco's on better form but he isn't proven on the right wing like Camo is. I know that Camo is inconsistent but when he plays well he really makes a difference.

The 3 man defence was used only against Parma if I remember correctly and the result was better than the 4 man defence. Anyway the 3 man defence is actually a 5 man defence so we are more covered.

I prefer a 3-5-2 myself but it all depends on the men involved. Zambrotta can play left wing and is proved in an attack/defense position like left back but Camoranesi is not. We would lack cover on the right side as a result.

I think it is painfully obvious that the defense is the area that we are experiencing a transition period in. This happened to Arsenal when they lost their old guard and its happening to us now. I hope however, that unlike Arsenal, Moggi and Lippi buy *well* and *quickly*.

3 man or 4 man, it won't really make *that* big a difference if the men involved make mistakes or are out-paced.

This season's Juve are not in synch from what I have seen. I hope that the team's natural rythmn returns and not merely to individuals and that we rely not on individual moments of talent (or luck) but that the TEAM performs to the best of their ability.

Yeah, Birindelli and Zambrotta act as wing backs in Lippi's 3-4-1-2 system, moving into midfield when we're on the attack and dropping back to form a five man defence when their needed.
