if we win we need only a draw at reggina to win the schudetto
True but somehow I see a draw happening in our next match much more likely with a win in our final match. However I hope that we win both just to relieve the pressure.

If this week we beat Palermo and Parma manage to get points from Milan, this Scudetto will remind of 2001-02 one ;)

Just like I said in the other thread, the best thing Capello can do is to play the same formation he did against Siena. Meaning that Del Piero and Balza should be starting the game. I expect milan to win their game and the battle to continue till the end.

Enjoy your time, Jack.

For the last Uefa spot (Palermo has still some hope):

lazio 56
chievo 53

palermo 49
livorno 47
parma 45

reggina 41
sampdoria 40
ascoli 40

Stupid Roma need miracles to make the CL qualification, since they are playing Milan the last day. who's playing Fiorentina last day?

I dont believe Milan will be having a tough game TBH, Parma are out of Uefa's Cup spot and will be playing for nothing. Milan do know that we have a tough game ahead of us, specially that Palermo knocked Fiorentina down. It's not going to be easy at all for us. But then again, If Capello wants to win the game then he better start the same formation he did against Siena.

I completely agree with fielding the same starters as we did against Siena, with maybe the exception of possibly starting Camo over Mutu. Though given player attitudes, starting Mutu over Camo isn't a bad thing either. But put the players on the pitch who set the example and win matches for you... so I'll stick with the Siena starting lineup.

Milan should coast since Parma has squat to fight for, and yet Milan has every reason to blow them out and finish the season in style -- regardless of what Juve does, hoping for some dropped points.

And Jack: lots of pictures, please. :D

Speaking of our match at Siena that I was at a couple years ago, it was our last match with Lippi as coach... I was really glad I went to see that. So the last home match in the delle Alpi (at least as it is) should be even more cool, being a home game.

Ok, so Chievo needs to win against Lecce to be sure of the Uefa spot. If they get an early lead on Sunday, Palermo will lose hope, but if Chievo wins, they won't have so many reasons to put a real effort in the game against Fiorentina. Is it at least in the Bentegodi stadium?

We have also to consider that Roma will give their best against Milan only if there is a real chance of getting the CL spot. If there won't be, their tifosi will behave more or less like the Lazio ones on May 5th, because winning against Milan would mean letting us win the scudetto.

I heard that Parma will "try other players" from now on, since they are safe. So there goes the hope of them stealing some points from Milan...

Its so sad and such a pity that we have to actually consider other teams peformance, results and reaction when considering that all we need is a draw and a win at the most to win the league... :frown: thank you capello..

what we need to do now is not worry about other teams and just worry about winning 2 games........ If we prepare right and focus on 2 more games, we will be celebrting our 29 scudetto real soon.

in between , was it the same classical formation 4-4-2 because it seems to me that was diffrent , players were free-role-playing especially nedved and vieira who had the best outcome
