i still think that our defence needs at least one of thuram or Cana
I agree, but when either of them get injured, we're back at square one (last season). That's why I want to give Tudor and Legro some playing time and confidence so they can at least be fresh when they come on for one of them. you saw how Tudor performed last season when he played no more than 75 mins in Total for a month. (if that much!)

One of Canna and Thuram is important and an improvement, but Tudor and Legro are THAT bad.

Well i think for the defense we at least need ferrara or cana or thuram, we can't afford to let tudor and legro by their own.too sloppy. They need guidance especially tudor , i see much potential in him.
About legro i dont know mybe he can change OUR minds about him with a solid performance from now and then.

I think everyone is taking this game too lightly. i agree that we should change the starting line-up but not everyone.

neddy - emerson, and either cana or thuram should be rested.

Why are we suddenly into 'resting' players?

This is only the second game into this long 38 match Serie A season and the players are still fresh and need match fitness to get in perfect shape.

Besides, there isn't a midweek Champions League match to rest players for.

As far as I'm concerned, Capello should field our strongest lineup and bag another 3 points and hope our challengers drop some points, especially the sluggish Milan who face a tricky trip to the Dall'Ara against Mazzone's Bologna.

But if some players are injured or not fit, then by all means play a substitute.

PS - Players like Legro, Tudor, and Kapo would probably get playing time in the Coppa Italia. In the meantime, they should warm the bench.

We're playing Sampdoria on wednesday, lots of games now that Serie A consists of more teams.

I agree with dpforever. I'd simply play the best team possible. I'd consider a rest for Emerson, because he seemed a bit tired against ajax. Nedved maybe to be subbed early in the second half if things go well.

Yeah, and that's going to be a difficult game, as well as our fourth in two weeks. I'd rest Emerson who doesn't look 100% atm, and sub Nedved early in the second half for Kapo (or Olivera if he doesn't start). Trezeguet-Del Piero should be the striking duo.

    Great minds think alike ;)

Btw, I just found out that Del Piero scored his first ever Serie A goal in 1993 on September 19th after coming on as a sub for Ravanelli. Come Sunday it would've been nine years since Ale scored his first goal in Italy's top flight.

I think Nedved and Olivera along with Thuram and Cannavaro should rest, and there is no harm in trying kapo instead of Emerson

Cannavaro should definitely play IMO, he's new and he needs to establish a routine otherwise he'll never be completely dependable.

As for Kapo, I don't think we'll see him outside Coppa matches, he still has *a lot* to prove.

I'm with Martin, Cannavaro hasn't played much in a long time, he needs the routine... But as other CB I'd like to see Tudor/Legro, they need the routine too...

anyone know if I can catch this on Sattelite TV?? We definitely should win this, but it may be harder then we expect, considering our recent schedule

hmm. i would like to see Kapo but i don't think that he will get much playing time!! sorry for him

in defense i would make the best probable line up and maybe replace one of them and bring on Legro or Tudor! I think it is so early in the season that we should not start resting players (only if they are injured)!!
