I really think Seedorf has something personal against Juve. The dude could be really annoying.
Heh.

That is so true...this guy has a vendetta against us. When he scored in the Milan Derby he was thinking about how much it would p*ss us off, not for Milan!

I hope Fabrizio plays tomorrow night. I have hope...

Some interesting comments by Ancelotti, he said it's an important but not decisive game. Exactly what Lippi said before we lost to Lazio and Roma.

Serie A - Week 25

vs

Sunday March 14, 2004.
20:30. Stadio Delle Alpi.

An out of sorts Juve welcome old foe Milan at the Delle Alpi on Sunday with everything to play for. Juve's Italian crest is at stake as Milan edge closer round after round to clinching their 17th Scudetto. However, after crashing out of the Champions League Juve will surely make life difficult for the Rossoneri.

Preparations for this match didn't go as planned for Juve's Lippi though since more players got injured than those recovered. Del Piero have joined fellow first-choice striker Trezeguet in the treatment table whereas Miccoli have also suffered a slight muscle injury and remains doubtful of featuring against Milan. Zambrotta, Birindelli, and Maresca are still out whereas Tudor is on his way to recovery.

Milan on the other hand arrive to this match full of confidence, having breezed through Sparta Prague 4-1 in the Champions League and having learned that the UEFA Champions League draw have been kind to them (yet again his season). Milan will play Deportivo La Coruna next and will avoid Arsenal/Chelsea/Real Madrid until the final as they are on opposite sides of the draw.

More good news for Milan is that they will welcome back Seedorf after he successfully recovered from a thigh strain injury. Therefore, ex-Juve coach Carlo Ancelotti will have a full squad to chose from for this match.

It has been announced that Perluigi Collina has been assigned to officiate this match. More bad news for Juve? Well, Juve has never won with Collina as ref since December 2000.

In total he officiated 27 matches for Juve, 10 (37%) ended in a win, 9 (33%) ended in a draw, and 8 (30%) ended in a defeat.

For Milan, he officiated more matches: 36 matches. 13 (36%) of them ended in victories, 16 (44%) ended in draws, whereas only 7 (20%) ended in a defeat.

Juventus (4-4-1-1)

---------------- Buffon --------------------

-- Thuram --- Ferrara –Legro --- Pessotto --

-- Camo ---- Conte – Tacchi –-- Appiah --

------------------ Nedved --------------------

------------------ Di Vaio ---------------------

Last season Juventus were renowned for their consistency, dogged approach and never say die attitude. Ingredients of a true championship winning side. However this season the team have suffered from lack of confidence in the back line and as such the team has rather looked vulnerable and was outplayed even against the smallest of sides. The team also needs to cope with a long casualty list that has rocked the team and its fans.

But the one who is afraid cannot go to war. Thus, Pavel Nedved have sent a sound warning to Milan ahead of the clash this Sunday. Nedved promised that Juve will take advantage of their natural instincts: power and passion, in order to win this match and open the race wide open despite the many setbacks the team is suffering from.

Nedved will always be a key player but Di Vaio should carry the load of scoring again. He should regain his confidence as the team really needs him in his difficult time. I am sure he will relish the opportunity to impress in the absence of the King of Turin and the elegant Trezegol!

Alessio Tacchinardi was also hopeful ahead of the match and indicated that the team's character would be an added weapon in this difficult battle. He also welcomes a win that would bring Juve back in contention for winning the Scudetto again.

Milan (4-3-1-2)

------------------ Dida -------------------

--- Cafu --- Nesta – Maldini – Kaladze –

------- Ambrosini – Pirlo – Seedorf -------

--------------------- Kaka -------------------

----------- Inzaghi ---------- Sheva ---------

From the Milan camp, an upbeat Kaka remains optimistic after the team's recent positive results.Kaka has always maintained that Milan are capable of winning the Double this season (Champions League and Serie A). Ironically, Juve were very close from achieving that feat last season. But the Brazilian prodigy was careful when predicting the outcome, giving both teams a 50-50 chance in this mach.

Gattuso was a relieved man when he discovered that Juve were eliminated out of the Champions League, one less difficult opponent to worry about. However, in Serie A there is no running away and both teams will have to face each other.

Sheva will he be relishing this game, against one of his favoured teams. He has always saved his best for Juventus and Buffon. After nearly a month without scoring any goal for Milan, the Ukranian forward found his scoring touch with a brace against Sparta Prague on Wednesday night. Juve's defence and GK has been warned!

Prediction

Will the Black & White warriors slay some devils in the Delle Alpi? Or will the Rossoneri fire the shot of mercy right into the Old Lady's heart? Personally, I predict a difficult match for Juve but a resolute Juve should come back from behind and convert a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 win in the second half.

The new ball, released by Nike, to be played for the first time in Juve's Delle Alpi. Let's hope our fortunes turn to the better with this ball.
