For the 2010-2011 season in Serie A:

Del Piero : 33 games : 8 goals, 2 assists.
Quag : 17 games : 9 goals, 2 assists.
Matri : 34 games : 20 goals, 1 assist.
Vucinic : 28 games : 10 goals, 2 assists.

A good portion of Del Piero's goals were penalties, too.
If someone looks at the statistics you provided would be left with the impression that Del Piero is way behind our other strikers in terms of effectiveness. That of course won't be exactly the truth because this is a very incorrect way of comparing players. Not every time a player makes a full 90 minutes on the pitch so 'games played' doesn't mean absolutely anything.

For example - one player plays regularly 90 minutes per match, while other is a substitute and plays at most for a 20 minutes per match. The first one plays 20 matches and scores 10 goals, while the other being a substitute manages just 2 in 20 appearances. If you look at the games played and goals scored for the two players you'll see that both of them have made 20 appearances, where one scored 10 goals and the other - 2. This of course is not the whole truth because the former has played for 1800 minutes while the latter - 400 minutes. So their goals-to-minutes-played ratio is respectively - 1 goal per 180 minutes for the one who plays regularly full 90 minutes and 1 goal per 200 minutes for the substitute. Not that big difference, eh?

So if we take into account the minutes played and goals scored for our 4 strikers you mentioned the picture changes completely -

Season 2010/2011

Del Piero - 1822 minutes, 8 goals - approximately 1 goal per every 228 minutes on the pitch
Quagliarella - 1306 minutes, 9 goals - approximately 1 goal per every 145 minutes on the pitch
Matri - 1688 minutes, 11 goals - approximately 1 goal per every 153 minutes on he pitch (at Cagliari), 1254 minutes, 9 goals - approximately 1 goal per every 139 minutes (at juventus)
Vucinic - 1868 minutes, 10 goals - approximately 1 goal per every 189 minutes on the pitch (at Roma).

So if we take into account Del Piero's unrivaled influence when on the pitch and his undoubtedly game-changing abilities I don't think that even at 37 he's too far behind our other attackers.
