Glad we found a way to turn it around against this weak Empoli side and not make even more fools out of ourselves, first half was a disaster but it gradually got better, then in the second half we took proper control but were still wasteful, luckily though we managed to finish it off when it mattered, all in all there’s still plenty to work on before we can talk about any progress or real improvements.

If not for those two injuries we wouldn’t have scored the 1:1.

He still insist with koop behind the strikers and loca plus some other turd in midfield. Just play a 3 man midfield and leave that goalkeeper at vinovo.

Top second half, poor first. We still only perform for 45 minutes. In all of the last matches it's been the case, including the Napoli loss. Consistency over 90 minutes must be the next target

i didn't like the 2nd half too much either. the georgian dude gave us a hand, before ismajli's injury we couldn't score (even if we were unlucky)

weird game from a weird team

Not a team.
The result is great, but I didn't see any changes from the previous matches. Just a much weaker team against us.

Since we play so disorganized, there is an obvious person to blame, and it's the manager. The first 15 minutes were a nightmare and for a good part of the match our football resembled something that can only be seen in youth categories.
So, when there is no team it's futile to look at individual performances, but it's hard to ignore the obvious lack of quality when our players fail to do the simple things. For example, there were two situations, almost one after another, at 2:1, when Loca and McKennie had a simple 10 meter pass to make to an open Nico Gonzalez in Empoli's box, and the pass was just terrible.

Not to be partisan, but I completely agree with this assessment. Which is why De Sciglio was almost on Di Gregorio and he was way late to first react to the ball as it went between his legs.

That said, De Sciglio not celebrating the goal was appropriate. If only because I knew he would be the root cause of an opponent’s goal. Which he was with the equalizer by pretty much heading the long ball in Kolo Muani’s path and then falling on his face. :hihi:

That's clear interference.

Anyway, second half response was good, we got a bit of luck with the second goal that makes all the difference, then they got the red.

First half was tragic and very worrying. Kolo Muani looks like he has a bit of energy that we've really misses in attack as the same guys were playing every week.

Dusan and his moody stare shit, lol. Nice goal though, that's the sort of goal we expect and have virtually never seen.

And what's with his attitude after scoring? As if he is a victim of something.
