Yeah the metaphors are actualy not that good, cos CL is played througout whole season, this would be better for a WC or Euros. But still the point stands that these two tournaments are totaly different requiring different preparation and aproaches to them.

I agree, I was just arguing that the team that wins it is usually the best or one of the best teams in the tournbament, not some lucky BATE.

Remove the group stage round and someday even team from Serbia could manage to grap the CL trophy like Red Star did many years ago
