Coman-morata-gio... do it!
DO ETT

4-3-3 please, this is cesena not roma we can afford to play more offensive
Exactly. Apart from friendlies... this are the kind of games that we will have to try things out. A loew level team in our packed stadium wiith some of our key players sidelined and others needing a rest. COME ON, if not now when????

If we can't trust Bonucci and Chiellini in a back 4 against Cesena then what the $#@! are they doing on the team? Come on now.
FFS this!!!

Sky sport saying it will be a back 4 with licht and evra on the flanks
 If licht can play then let him. If not use romulo. Licht was wasted against milan,,and rightly so, he has been runing a lot on this 4 games

Not sure but I would think maybe a 4-3-3 with coman-morata-pepe/giovinco
Perfect time to unleash the GIONATOR.

He will exploddeeeeeeeee like a bomb

I don't think we'll play 4-3-1-2. Or not in it's traditional sense at least.

I think it will be more like a 4-3-2-1 because in Allegri's 3-5-2, there is less of an interplay with the 2 strikers. Last year Llorente was literally bringing balls down and Tevez was taking the ball off his foot. Instead, it seems there is a lone target man (Llorente) and Tevez is dropping into midfield much more than last year. So in that sense, a 4-3-2-1 keeps the attacking roles slightly more familiar.

Llorente is mostly taking up positions in the centre of the pitch. It's easier for players like Pereyra to use him as a focal point if he's in the centre. We've seen Pereyra making combinations with Llorente in the centre already.

From what I could see in pre-season it was a bit of a modified 4-3-2-1 because Tevez has more of an attacking mindset obviously. Even when Giovinco was playing the role, he was also kind of playing like an inside striker (Ronaldo style) position.

This is what Allegri's 4-?-?-? looked like to me.

---------------Llorente
-------Tevez
-----------------------Pereyra
Pogba--------Marchisio---------Vidal

and in defense:

------------Llorente
------Tevez-------Pereyra
Pogba-----Marchisio-----Vidal

So in attack, with the ball on the opposite of Tevez, obviously he can feel comfortable drifting into the middle or up beside Llorente. The only issue is when the play is on Tevez's side. Will he go wide to provide width and receive the ball looking to cut in from that side? I'm not sure if he's comfortable in that role but I noticed our corner kicks have resulted in him getting the ball back in that position quite often and he always looks to dribble to the touch line or for a shot so I have a feeling he likes that scenario.

Now if you use Morata instead of Llorente, maybe you don't want to use him like a traditional target man and you use him beside Tevez in a 2 striker setup. But I'm uncomfortable with having such little width in the formation. I think that goes against the way football is being played currently.

Sure, but that's true of most systems.

One puts a broad label on a shape, but there are almost invariably little adjustments depending on how players/coaches interpret roles and situations.

I'm not fussed on us rapidly moving away from the 3-5-2 in the league atm, but I'd love a 4-3-3 at home against on paper one of our easiest fixtures. Not just for the sake of change, but so Morata or Coman can start, and the other can get some serious minutes

Not in the 3-5-2 where unless we're romping them 4-0 at HT we'll give Morata some poverty minutes and maybe shove Coman at CF.

Llorente really needs to hit the bench, morata needs to get his chance

So Allegri basically said that Morata will not start for a while. So he will continue to probably get 10-15mins a game.

From Allegri's press conference:

- I can't put in 5 or 6 new players for a game. A team needs balance
- Morata has great qualities, but he only returned to the squad on 13th September and needs more time
- Vidal still is not at 100% but needs minutes to get fit
- Ogbonna has a very good right foot and can easily play on the left or right of defence
- Evra? He is in good fitness and should start tomorrow
- Tevez? If i were the national team coach I would call him up. He is doing great things as he did last year
- Pereyra? His call up to the national team shows that Juve made a great buy
- Cesena are in form and don't give much space at the back. We must do well cause it is these sort of matches which win you leagues, not only against the contenders.
- For now it is useless trying new formations as we are playing every 3 days so there is little time to work on learning new formations.
- Barzagli is working to recover as soon as possible without risking relapses
- Caceres should be available for the Atletico game
- Pirlo has returned to shooting the ball, but we will wait for the check up this week to plan his re-entry
