LOL offcourse not

Considering our defence issues, its best we try to fix that issue with an extra defender.

Playing less defenders is only possible if our only two top centrebacks are fit and ready to play

We'll play back 4 if Barzagli is back. Not sooner. Him and Chiellini are the key

Allegri has said this himself, so please stop create the illusion he didnt.

Also, whats this "rest for athletico" ???? We have a game this weekend

We should rest some then, not now

There's nothing funny about me not trusting a back line consisting of fucking Ogbonna on his weak side, Bonucci and an out of form Chiellini. Compensating mistake prone defenders by throwing in an extra mistake prone defender is risky business. I would much prefer Licht at full back with Bonucci and Chiellini in the middle.

If you have a bag with holes in it, putting bags who also have holes, in the first bag, will ellow for less water to poor out of the first bag with holes in it

Media reporting that Allegri might use back 4 vs Cesena, Evra (Asamoah) - Bonucci - Chiellini - Licht (Romulo). Coman might be given a chance as well.

If we can't trust Bonucci and Chiellini in a back 4 against Cesena then what the fuck are they doing on the team? Come on now.

Good. At last.

Riskfull, Allegri is feeling confident it seems.

I hope that doesnt backfire
If he play back 3, no cb will be on the bench. I'd call it risky as well.

This.

Sky sport saying it will be a back 4 with licht and evra on the flanks
So 4321?

The reason Conte went for a 3-5-2 was because the level of central defenders these days has dropped so significantly compared to 10 and 20 years ago.
Adding an extra defender gives the rigid central protection.

Allegri wants to risk the back4 again, but only when having Chiellini and Barzagli available, for the same reasons.

Yet what i read here is "now that our best and thirdbest(if there is such thing) defenders are injured, lets go back4 now is the time.

I would argue that you don't need to play three centre-halves at home against Cesena, particularly when it is Marchisio that is playing in front of the defence.

When it was Pirlo in that role - who isn't going to be much use at defending counter-attacks, I had no issue with playing a back three.

If the line up proves to be something like:

Buffon

Lichtsteiner-Bonucci-Chiellini-Evra

Vidal-Marchisio-Pogba

Pereyra

Morata-Tevez

I'll be interested to see the exact balance of the team in terms of Pogba, Vidal and the full-backs.

In the 3-5-2, everyone aside from the defenders and the deepest midfielder has a lot of freedom to go forward, but there has to be a bit more awareness as to what other players are doing to maintain the balance in 4-3-1-2 and not risk over-committing.

In your opinion do you think Pereyra is good enough to change formations?
