No surprises there. And I must be happy that Ciro is sticking with the system that we looked very comfortable in a few days back. He swapped like for like, positionally speaking, not in terms of talent. At least regarding the enforced absence of Momo...Though it gives Poulsen a chance to show what he can do in that position, where little is asked of him other than win the ball, protect the defence, find one of the three muskateers Gio/Diego/Camo. With confidence surely high now in the dressing room, its a good time, a good opportunity, for poulsen to come in and show what he can do...at times when he has looked most useless, he had been played in odd positions, where there is pressure on him to Create, rather than just Destroy/COver/Play it simple...

Resting Amauri seems mildly interesting. I am always happy to see Trez get a start, because I want him to have the chance to impress in perhaps his last season at the club. And he is still very capable...our most natural goalscorer. He needs matches, to get back to full sharpness...his ability to find dangerous positions, often leaving defenders somehow silenty and un-noticed, is working fine and dandy, but his finishing is not. that chance he had in the samp game, on the volley, but merely 10 yards out, he spooned terribly...I felt sorry for him.

The highlight of the Samp game for me, was the sight of Melo crumpling I think Cassano, could have been someone else though...with the brazilian knowing full well he had left the player floored, but jogging off, with this mean look in his eyes...which said to me, that he had enjoyed the brutish crushing of an opponent.

He is finding his feet, slowly, in our team, and his tackling is often wonderful to watch.

most important facts here are
we have Buffon/chiellini/Can/Gros/Melo/Camo/Dieg/Gio/Trez...9 exceptionally high quality players. All near fit, and coming off a 5-1 drubbing of the most in form team in Serie A.
