I hate the fact we equalised, coming back and drawing feels like a win. Psychologically when we're far from it. The only result we needed was a loss or having Venezia give us a kick in the ass by coming back from losing and scoring a last minute goal against us. The players need a strong, firm, assertive and aggressive motta team talk, both before and after a game. It's the only way, it's why Conte was so good. Motta is an intelligent guy but I haven't seen him rip through players yet.

We had some good spells of nice football and I sure we all thought "We need to score one of these, because we will concede" and the same happened as always: we didn't score and then did concede.

I think it's still a lack of direction when in possession. We're still doing the lazy slow short passes and strolling around for ages. We are much better at creating chances than last year but that's not a high bar to compare against.

Meanwhile when called for against big teams we're able to set up well and shut them down. Maybe it's that Motta isn't able to set up a team to dominate a game and ruthlessly crush the opponent's spirit. We're far better when on the back foot and that is completely backwards.

Well he has never had to do it before. I think he needs to let go of his want to be so organised in attack against lesser teams. Need to commit more bodies in the box. Far too often it's just vlahovic in there.

Only positive thing is that despite so many draws we are still luckily only a few points adrift from top 4.

This Wednesday we played defense, let City attack most of the time. We only counterattacked and won with a few chances we had. But against a weaker team like Venezia, we can't do that. We have to attack more and guess what, another draw.

see the problem here is assuming others will eventually drop form and juve can catch up.

but there is very real possibility that this won't happen, and even if it did juve's form can go from draw every game to lose every game

We are talking about Serie Ass after all, even while we break negative records left and right we are still in contention specifically because the others are just as inconsistent, then if we also add some depth during the winter mercatto i’d say 4th place is easily achievable tbh.

We actually didn't play bad at times, but screwed it up with stupid mistakes. Unlucky
I don’t agree. We probably played “reasonably” well for about 15 mins of this game.

We were absolutely second best otherwise and I feel like the draw is harsh on them. What we’ve seen so far is as bad as anything Jihadball 2.0 served up as well.

Missed this one too and I’m glad I did. Seems like another pointless season not worth watching.

Maaaaaybe some of the CL matches and derbies otherwise not worth my time.

Sell this fucking club already. Changing coaches every season won’t do shit.

Inexcusable. We can't keep dropping points to bottom feeders and cellar dwellers like Venezia, home or away. It's obviously embarrassing and shambolic that we needed an injury time penalty to salvage a draw to these insigificant cretins.

Prepare for more dropped points away to Monza in a week.
