Instead of being happy that Ronaldo linked up REALLY well with Cuadrado & Dybala, have a fit Ramsey getting involved and things are looking semi-decent instead of the doom and gloom some here promised was inevitable it actually isn't all that bad yet.

All I'm saying is give the coach/club a chance...come December if we can't defend dead balls and are about to exciters the groups/CL altogether then start complaining.

We didn't even look that tired until that last 10 or so. Cuads was gutted.

Fitness levels are not bad at all IMO.
I can understand your point of view but I don't get why Sarri has changed his tactics to counter attacking team maybe our midfield is to be blamed

Every team should counter attack when the chance is there. That doesn't mean your preferred tactic is necessarily to sit back and counter though.

I mean half of the team did not play in CL match so being tired is not an excuse. Bad performance from everyone including Ramsey.
Really Ramsey after the initial 10-15 minutes he looked good making runs into the box and his link up play with Dybala and Ronaldo

I agree if you are playing Barcelona or man city but not against Verona

It's still early on. We have players with incredible pace or general quickness from 0-60, why wouldn't we attempt counters? It's better now than watching Max's team try to fumble the ball forward only to hit a mental wall at the 18 yard box.

It was really poor. I understand we had some other players in there today and applaud Sarri for rotating, so the poor performance can be partially blamed on that. But if we don’t see improvement over time, it’s not good enough. Honestly it looks no different than some of the poor performances last year under the other guy, and Fuck me there were a Lot of those.

the only bright spot today was Ramsey. Some of his movement was exceptional and something we haven’t really seen in a while. He has a lot of drive, something we need and might not have had since Nedved. Not comparing him to Nedved though as that would be sacrilege.

3pts after a visit to Madrid, rotation, noone got injured... I'm more than happy
Agree....we asked for rotation and he did that. We all want rabiot Ramsey Dybala to play but we need to implement them accordingly. This was the start I guess.

I'm actually content with Dybala's performance as the CF. No goals isn't a concern...but seeing him make the runs and link up was very positive. Would love to see him get a few consecutive games in the role to see how he adapts.

Midfield of pjanic ramsey and rabiot with dybala ronaldo and costa once all fit and in form and ready to go would be nice.

Not entirely sure what our game plan is when we’re holding a lead late in the game.

I feel like the team naturally gravitates to sitting deep and soaking up pressure as that’s what we’ve done for a number of years.
It’s possible they’re being asked to try and retain the ball to take the sting out of the game. Problem is I don’t think we’ve got players on the pitch capable or comfortable doing that under pressure.

It now looks like we’re stuck doing something in between the two which will lead us to losing points in the coming months.
I don’t think we can leave two luxury players up front (a combo of Cristiano and Dybala/Higuain) whilst the other 8 are sitting deep. Either the whole team gets behind the ball and defends as a unit or we go all out and try to play whilst pressing when we lose the ball.

Thought Verona would be much worse than what they showed. Always annoying to face a team that actually runs, presses and then fouls in the perfect time.

Lots of rotation today which was surprising. And we made it 50 minutes without Pjanic but it looks like his rest periods will be few and far between judging by that quick Bentancur sub.

Dybala, a couple great turns to hold play. A couple nice switches. And of course a couple times where the ball bounced off him like he's made of brick. Got in behind a couple times which was good to see. Higuain still ahead I think.

Cuadrado/Matuidi killed themselves to hold the shape as always. Cuadrado a nice ball to Ronaldo at the start (possible penalty). Matuidi a trainwreck in the box. But these two look like they are cementing themselves in Sarri's plan. Not sure where Bernardeschi comes in.
Dybala is more off form, day by day.Did nothing except falling down spectacularly after fouling.

Garbage football. Anyone thinks that performance was any better than what we’ve seen in the past two years, needs their heads checked

Sarri has no idea what he’s doing with this team we look as clueless as the Delneri days. Sorry, but eeking out a narrow win against a shit newly-promoted team like Verona at home...damn. Not looking good this season.
That's worries me utmost.Always seeeking for excuses. But at the end of the day he is clueless.Has no clear idea.Shinter is coming in two weeks time. Not just them.

To be honest, none of the big teams in Europe are playing good. Barca, Real, Liverpool, they are all struggling at the start of the season.
Liverpool play atomic football. If we play now with them they will crush us.As for Real, yes they play like shit and Zidane will be fired.

That's about it really, no clear idea.
