I’m not ready to toss Sarri under the bus yet. It’s still September and things change. We looked far better last September-October and we all know how that turned out, so hopefully we have the opposite progression this year and peak at the right time.
I agree with you. Very bad game. As i said earlier i expect nothing better with Matuidi and Khedira on the field. Good to see Ramsey get some minutes.

With that many changes at this stage of the season with a completely new system and coach, lack of cohesion in 1st half wasn't surprising.

And it's never easy after a CL game, but Verona looked as poor as they do on paper.

Better 2nd half till the fuck ups in our half towards the end.

Ramsey still not 100% match fit but finally a goal threat from midfield outside the box.

Matuidi MotM, too bad about the feet of stone in the box.

But most importantly, what happened in the same fixture under Allegri?

As long as we dont find a world class replacement for matuidi, things will not change.

The guy just cant play football.

Happy to see ramsey tho.... Sad to see khedira even for a minutte, but well there was no other way as reamsey is still recovering.

Can we use rabiot for matuidi just to see how it goes?

Glad we haven't lost our superpower of grinding wins when things don't go our way. I guess the players thought that the game was already won even before it was played, but Verona showed some fire.
In the end a underwhelming performance, but it means 3 pts so I will take it.

Do you guys think that it is possible that we don't have the midfielders that can play a 90 min. pressing style?

They played in the Serie B last season, 2-1 the season before that. We were much better on xPoints though which is the most important thing.

Verona looked poor? How did we look then?

People asked for rotation and this is the result. Those who came in are not 100% match ready hence Demiral and Bentancur having a really poor game. Ramsey looked good but still rusty and short of fitness. I think something is wrong with Rabiot behind the scenes, maybe physical.

Dybala had lots of touches, more than most of the team and he links up well with Ramsey and Ronaldo. Personally I was happy, we'll get better when the squad rack up some more game time. We look much more dangerous in possession and in time, our defence will get better.

Sarri should try and integrate Can into the team, that was poor from Juve to mess with him in the CL.
