With that many changes at this stage of the season with a completely new system and coach, lack of cohesion in 1st half wasn't surprising.

And it's never easy after a CL game, but Verona looked as poor as they do on paper.

Better 2nd half till the fuck ups in our half towards the end.

Ramsey still not 100% match fit but finally a goal threat from midfield outside the box.

Matuidi MotM, too bad about the feet of stone in the box.

But most importantly, what happened in the same fixture under Allegri?
Verona played really well.

Verona looked poor? How did we look then?
Poor in 1st half and poor defensively towards the end like I mentioned in the post you quoted.

They had scoring chances exactly because of that. Overall quality wise, looked your usual relegation contender.

How good did they look to you?

Only thing about them...they weren't afraid of putting ball in the box. They paid attn to our previous games.

Thought Verona would be much worse than what they showed. Always annoying to face a team that actually runs, presses and then fouls in the perfect time.

Lots of rotation today which was surprising. And we made it 50 minutes without Pjanic but it looks like his rest periods will be few and far between judging by that quick Bentancur sub.

Dybala, a couple great turns to hold play. A couple nice switches. And of course a couple times where the ball bounced off him like he's made of brick. Got in behind a couple times which was good to see. Higuain still ahead I think.

Cuadrado/Matuidi killed themselves to hold the shape as always. Cuadrado a nice ball to Ronaldo at the start (possible penalty). Matuidi a trainwreck in the box. But these two look like they are cementing themselves in Sarri's plan. Not sure where Bernardeschi comes in.

They looked pretty good for a relegation candidate. They were better than us. We were lucky to get a win.

Garbage football. Anyone thinks that performance was any better than what we’ve seen in the past two years, needs their heads checked

Sarri has no idea what he’s doing with this team we look as clueless as the Delneri days. Sorry, but eeking out a narrow win against a shit newly-promoted team like Verona at home...damn. Not looking good this season.

Well with De Ligt and Demiral in the team there will be goals no doubt about it.
Yeah - well, we bought young Mustangs for CB to replace our aging backline.

People are going to have to get fucking used to it for a couple years. Think about it bro:

Chiellini: Injured anyways, but if he makes a mistake its usually one off.
Bonucci: If he plays well, people shut up for a day, if he makes a mistake its nonstop moaning for weeks..."oh, that's classic Bonucci, etc"
Rugani: fat chance in hell we see him making some of these challenges.

Now Demiral & MDL are young...MDL exceptionally young and this is Demirals FIRST START IN A BIG CLUB.

Seriously, people need to shut the fuck up and let the team grow from their mistakes, especially these young CBs.

People that were bitching about Danilo 2-3 weeks ago aren't saying shit now are they?

Not really. We created far more chances in 4 of the 5 years under Max, and even in the first two months of last season before we swan-dived into the shit
Seriously? lol you confirmed it I suppose. You're saying on one hand we created many chances, then on the other turned to shit later on...well, what the hell do you think was happening during the swan-dive into shit? We weren't creating, we weren't taking chances to kill games and sure as hell not clinical when it matter in Europe.

    Definitely.

Shame they'll be scored against us though.
People act like we didn't concede goals with Max early in his seasons.

    2015-16 Season:

First seven rounds we conceded goals to: Udinese (first game, we lost 0-1), Roma (2-1, another loss lol), Chievo (1-1), Frosinone (1-1), Napoli (2-1, another loss)...couple rounds later we lost to Sassuolo.

Seriously, after winning the league the year before we lost 4 games in the first 10 rounds including 3 draws(Udinese, Roma, Napoli, & Sassuolo while drawing to Chievo & Frosinone)

We really struck out early that season and people are shitting themselves because we aren't winning matches 4-0 yet with a new coach and basically brand new backline.

Also that year we went out to Bayern in R16. LuL

We lost: Tevez, Vidal and Pirlo. 3 world class players and starters. We began the process of destroying our midfield (that still hasn’t been properly addressed to this day)

Also, we had a real manager in charge who I was confident would find a way to turn it all around.

We also had prime world class BBC...whats the excuse there? Point is...look at the season AFTER that Sassuolo match: We won 25 of 26 rounds after that.

Moral of the story: Wait and let the club sort itself out.

Holy shit, the last week I heard on Tuz people complaining that Sarri doesn't rotate...then today he rotates heavily and BECAUSE we conceded a goal, even though we won, the knives & pitchforks are in hand ready to destroy the guy...even though he got 3 points, rotated the team...I guess unless the CL trophy is in hand people will never be happy.

    - - - Updated - - -

The last 25 mins of the game Higuain was battling a bloody nose so he was in and out, that obviously kills momentum. He has a great attack to start, amazing options from the bench, our new players are getting goals, our new CBs are getting minutes where they wouldn't touch a blade of grass on the field until December under Max...what more do you people want?

Instead of being happy that Ronaldo linked up REALLY well with Cuadrado & Dybala, have a fit Ramsey getting involved and things are looking semi-decent instead of the doom and gloom some here promised was inevitable it actually isn't all that bad yet.

All I'm saying is give the coach/club a chance...come December if we can't defend dead balls and are about to exciters the groups/CL altogether then start complaining.

Half of the team did not play in match
We didn't even look that tired until that last 10 or so. Cuads was gutted.

Fitness levels are not bad at all IMO.
