Matuidi away from the attack is good, but closer to our goal is bad. Any bad pass he makes could end up in our net. For sure the opponent will press him as hard as possible when he receives a ball on the touchline. Hopefully he just punts it.

But we have no other choice.
this club had a left back for who for several seasons did nothing with the ball but pass to LCB. and now LCB will de ligt or bonucci instead of chiellini.

Ya, it's the passing to the LCB part that scares me the most lol

Spal will target and attack down our left for sure, but more worried about player in front of Matuidi: Rabiot.

Big diff going from Matuidi to current, more so than usual defensively unstable Rabiot in midfield. Bigger problem when opponent specifically targets that part of field.

Better to throw Can or a CB at LB. Can better choice. Need some form of attacking output with no left winger.

Can't the same be said about any of our defenders with a bad pass? :shifty:

    Well ... ya.

But surely there's increased risk with Matuidi. He has no technique and he's going to be in uncomfortable positions as well.
Perhaps an increased risk in frequency. But a bad pass is a bad pass, regardless who it comes from

I will say its more likely to come from Matuidi than someone else, though. Maybe that's what you're trying to say lol

Yes but the pass they are receiving from Matuidi could be very inaccurate.

Did you guys drink your coffee this morning lol?
But the other players too could play inaccurate passes to our CB's, not only Matuidi. I don't quite understand your point tbh.
    Is a joke

of course but matuidis passing isnt that bad is it? sure he loses the ball in attack where he has no time or space and the opposition has numerical advantage but i havent yet seen teams able to high press juve as effectively as previous season

Matuidi away from the attack is a very good thing.
He's gonna bomb forward every chance he gets trying to dribble by the touchline. Boy what a show it'll be.

That's true in principal, but SPAL is probably not going to press us. So less chances of inaccurate passes close to our goal since there probably are not many SPAL players there.
